Ya know Jenz, I gotta give it up to you for your walks to the gym since the weather has gotten warmer. How do you stay motivated? I ask because it's a 30 minute walk to my house from the train station, and of course I take the bus, so that it can be a 2 minute walk instead. I know I was making bigger gains as far as my goals are concerned (cutting), when I did the walking, yet I have no inclination lately to do that much walking in the heat. Any advice?

I just do it......LOL....Hubby & I are walkers -- we walk everywhere we can. Plus I live in a city, so I dont' want to lose the parking spot in front of my house and I'm too cheap to pay for the bus (which sucks around here anyway). Plus, with walking you have a purpose & destination -- you have to keep going to either get home or to wherever.

And I've read numerous articles about Europe, France, etc where they dont' really eat any better than we do in the US but with all the walking they do - they are healthier.

Plus, look at it this way -- the more you walk, the less time you have to spend on the treadmill......

**Funny thing about the standing calf raises -- I had to strip 500 45lb plates off the thing & was going to use 90lbs total - 2 45lb Plates. Well when I was done, I realized that I had left a 10lb & a 25lb plate on the left side still by accident.....LOL So I was lopsided!!

**Active rest day today -- got the house sprayed for fleas so we had to be out of the house for a few hours & then spend several hours cleaning up, doing dishes & doing laundry. Gawd I hate fleas!!

Salad: Arugula lettuce, plain grilled chicken, some grape tomatoes & olives (I'd say 6 each) and some mini-mozzarella balls (6 mini ones)
Olive Oil & Red Wine Vinegar on the side (1 tblsp. oil)

1 cup Birds Eye Broccoli, Cauliflower & Red Bell Peppers blend
