Is this woman stupid or was she victimized by Enron?

That wasn't an attack!!!!!

I was wondering why you weren't leaving.

You say one thing and do another.

Typical black woman!!!!

uh if we can stay on topic, the old woman was stupid not to diversify her portfolio. that's her fault. now if there was foul play with this whole thing, and I think there is fowl play, then she can sue.

But she tried to rectify it, but a 'legitimate' hold was put on her account.

It is fair to assume that Enron was doing well, and she stood to gain from it. As soon as she realized she should make a change, she was prevented from doing so.

ok. Like someone posted a while back, this whole Enron thing is very fishy. And there are some links to Dubya and his folks. It's still to early to tell but something crooked went down, and I'm sure she'll get her money back when it's all said and done.

The term "don't put all your eggs in one basket" wasn't coined for nothing.

Investing in a single stock is a VERY stupid thing to do - ESPECIALLY with your life savings.

How stupid to put all your money to an unknown company's stocks. This is one thing that disgusts me: simple people save their money on a private company's account or buy some shitty unknown stocks

Maybe she was stupid to invest in a single stock. But I'd bet money that most people would invest in the same situation. Especially the way Enron does promotions, and bonuses. I fault the company. EVERYONE i know from there was under enormous pressure to produce, bonuses were hella good, it was all good. There was no reason to figure, or think that Enron would collapse. Even so, who could have figured you'd be illegally blocked from withdrawing, or selling your stock? I don't think it's over by a long shot. I think the whole senior infrastructure that got paid millions, should be sent to prison, not a white-collar prison, a hardened system, as a example.

Won't happen though, because this country rewards those who succeed in that type of corruption with a simple handslap.

I'm waiting to see what happens with V P Cheney, and the Enron executives he met with about the "necessary energy plan". There is more bullshit, greedy, politics right there.

BESIDES her sueing the ass off the broker, she needs to sue Enron for the shit the executives pulled in setting up their parachutes, FUCK THEM ALL!!!!!

uhhh, you can say all you want about diversification....but the fact still remains that Enron executives are criminals and SHOULD be tried for something that could bring on capital punishment, I'm serious. This absolutely disgusts me.....and any link to GW wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. Look at the FACTS that are KNOWN.......executives from any smaller company would be residing in jail by now, but somehow these guys are still walking around. I'm in awe of our CJ system, these men should be flogged naked in the streets.
