Go to Nordstrom and get a good suit fitted. I work in suits all day long and I have some that are trendy and some that are classic. For a job interview, depending on what field you are working in, one should try to be classic. Get a nice dark navy suit, three buttons. Get a couple of white and light blue Nordstrom shirts. As for the ties go with Emenegendo Zenga. If put together this suit will emphasis both a classic and powerful statement. The reason I recommend Nordstrom brand shirts is because they have a great return policy if the shirt should ever get damaged...

What's your opinion on dark grey as a color for a suit?

Any particular shoes you recommend?

Dark grey is a great suit, but I recommend a navy suit if you are just getting started first. It is a little more versatile. However, if you see a grey suit you love by all means get it. Get suit shoes first then you can add to your collection with "boxier" european looking shoes. Bostonian, florshiem or j&m are good suit shoes. Go to a large retailer like bloomingdales, nordrstrom etc for the shoes. They have a large selection and good sales this time of month. Good luck...
