Injection site is red and sore

High-Jacked

New member
I injected 2cc's total of test/eq into my quad, which is a new site for me. I have been barely able to walk now for 3 days, getting a little better now, but there is an area on my quad right where I injected that is real red, about 3-4 " in diameter. It is slightly swollen, is this just from the reaction to the BA?? I shot ICN test which was pain-free in my pec/glute injects.

sounds like the same thing I get every now and then, a inflamation. It can appear if you inject too much BA, too much gear into the same area. I'm sitting here right now with my shoulder all red and swollen, but it goes away in a few days.
One tip that REALLY works, look at my post on the top

Bro, if you don't have a really bad fever your probably fine.

Although I have to ask, did you use 91% alcohol. and then switch your needle after sticking it in the vial.

With quad injections they are horrible unless u use a deferent needle then sticking through the plunger.

Also, on my first quad shot, my leg hurt for 5 days. I didn't go back to the quads for another 2wks. But, I tried it again because I hate sticking it in my own ass... Too hard to reach around. Same for me on shoulders, hard to reach and stay relaxed.

Well here's the thing.... After that I started shooting into my quads everytime they completely quit getting sore.

After you shoot into your quad be sure to rub it in a circular motion to get the solution to move throughout the muscle.

Also, sometimes you can shoot right next to a nerve which will make it hurt for days.

If the pain gets worse in your quad or starts to feel really warm. You may have an abcess.

I used a 25 g 1" pin buried all the way, miy quads are very lean and muscular.

This is a first in my quads so I figured that was what caused so much pain?

It got redder and redder up until day 3 after the shot, now it is red but the pain and swelling is subsiding.

If it was or is an infection, I have a full prescription of "Cephalexin" which I was prescribed for a cyst a few months ago but never used. Would this help rid the infection?

I don't think it is infected, rather a reaction to the ba, but if so, would that anti-B help?

Thanks........

Hope this helps

If it was your first time shooting there you can expect some pain as you are describing. If the gear is from *p you can expect pain/swelling everytime. It does get better over time when you use the same spot. Just give it at least 4 days before hitting the same location again.

If you really think it is an infection, take a pen ane trace around the red. If it spreads past the outline, you have an infection and as stated above, go see a doc. good luck bro
