This has been Barry's approach the entire time. We've had traditional consituencies along party lines for decades (i.e. Republicans = insurance companies, fossil fuels; Democrats = big labor, lawyers).

The new constituencies he's building are much more simple: People who get from taxpayers and people to pay for it. Then all you have to do is keep giving them more of other people's money and they stay in power forever.

It's a brilliant plan. Really the only thing that may keep him from pulling it off is the ongoing recession and Afghanistan.
