I'm still not sold on ALA

I don't see the big uproar...

I liked the analogy of if you didn't take ALA on a cycle and you gained 10lb of fat + 10lb. of muslce, net gain of 20lb. But if you did take ALA while on a cycle, your gains would be appoximately 6lb. of fat and 14lbs of muscle, netting 20lb.(but more quality mass).

But does it still work while off cycle? Can I take it just to take it, no roids at all? And still make good gains?

Not too mention I'm still not sold on its effectiveness, I mean after all it is still a "supplement" and anything legal probably doesn't work in the first place when it comes to muscle mass gains.

Has anyone reported results yet?
 
it works, the majority of the people who tried it liked the results they got, me included. Yes, it's only a supplement and I'm familiar with the notion that if it's legal it doesn't work but creatine and protein is legal and they work.
 
I though ALA was to protect your liver??? It is Alpha Lipoic Acid isn't it before I by the wrong stuff. How much do you need a day to protect your liver?
 
Don't think of it as a "supplement". Think of it more as a vitamin. It's antioxidant worth is what you should be looking at.
 
Not only is it one of the BEST antioxidant's EVER....it is one of
the best if not THE best protectors of liver, kidneys, cardio vascular system. So why wouldn't you be sold on it? Even if it
didn't control glucose in the blood (it does:D it would still be one
of the best all around vitamins you could EVER take. Shit, this
stuff practically stops one from aging! It is also the ONLY substance known to man that actually stimulates the body to
produce glutithione. That is a substance in the lens of the eye
that deteroriates with age. The main reason diabetics have
eye problems, i.e cataracts, glucoma is because the gluclose attacks the glutithione. ALA actually can prevent type 2 diabetes
and is currently being used for glucose control in type 1 diabetics
in Europe. These are just some of the great things ALA has to
offer. Kind of a miracle, don't you think?

IMO

It is the greatest legal supplement (next to protein) that I have ever taken, while on or off.

I use 3000 mg per and am more vascular now than I have ever been.

In reading medical studies and vitamin healing books 600mg a day with meals 200mg morning 200mg lunch and 200 more at dinner. I know a lot of people take more but this is what I find in reading.
