If you want your credit fixed..

FEISTY11975 said:
I have done my own credit repair and I was able to get lots of things taken off of my credit file.

I filed for bk in 1999 and the only thing that shows up in my credit file about my bk is the actual public record for the bk...nothing else. I disputed everything and it was all removed from my file. You can do it yourself and it is FREE!!!!

What if all the bad stuff on your credit report is true, how do you dispute that?

Mine was true but it was removed. here is how it works, you dispute the item just by saying no knowledge of account...the creditor has 30 days to confirm the account, update the account, etc...if they don't get back with the credit reporting agency within the 30 days then the account must be removed from your credit file. When I worked in consumer finance and we got dispute forms in the mail from the credit bureaus, we just threw them away. So, then the credit bureaus would remove the accounts from the customers credit file. I know it sounds crazy but it really does work and most companies do not have time to fill out the dispute forms

unfortunately - most creditors now use software packages that are directly connected to the bureaus. They can electronically receive and respond with info to the bureaus w/o annoying paperwork and mails. This has made the process way tougher on individuals.

Gotta love the internet eh? :)

but see...if you dispute an item it has to be researched. Can't just network from one computer to another and say, yes its yours and thats that. If you dispute an item and they confirm it...just dispute it over and over again. They will get tired of looking it up or there is a chance that it will get lost in the stacks of papers on someones desk and their 30 days will run out. It can happen. lol

research is 10x easier now that everything's on computers now, and your info isn't in some backroom storage room.

I don't thin kyou can just dispute things over and over again. The CR system isn't administered by the govt - so they can change rules as they please.

Otherwise people could just runup cc's, and then 2 months later just 'dispute' it and get it off their cr. Great loophole.

Actually it is pretty easy to do. If you or anyone else needs, I have a credit repair kit that I can send to you. I don't have it with me here at work but I can bring it with me tomorrow. Shoot me some e-mail addys and I will be more than happy to send it to you!

Can you send it to me too please?

I have a single solitary bad report that keeps showing up... I never heard of the account or know where it came from...
Some account from 5 years ago for an eye wooping $300... I was told not to pay it, since it would mean the debt WAS mines and late for all those years. So I want to try and dispute it some how...

Be very careful with credit repair companies. Most are scammers and what you pay them to do, you can actually do yourself.

I posted this sometime last week I think, but here...

Go to annualcreditreport.com

There you can get a free copy of each of the 3 credit bureaus. Once there, you can do online disputes etc.... There are credit tools which tell you exactly how to do it. Any questions, please feel free to pm me. I help 40% of my customers repair their credit before they purchase homes.

are you an agent or an LO?

I am a LO who deals with people with not so great credit so I found a way to help potential home buyers get their credit in order so they qualify for a better rate. I do this for them and I don't charge them for my services. I only hope that I help them enough for them to come to me for all their future needs and that they would refer others to me for the same.
