I didn't even weigh him. It took about 25 minutes. It was pretty rough though because he was foul hooked in his side and I had to drag him in sideways. I was just like a kid after I caught that thing. It was too much fun.

Fun indeed for sure. Foul hooking makes the fight twice as difficult. Kind of like pulling a piece of plywood through the water sideways.

I caught several tarpon this summer at Sanibel Island. The biggest one left me wore out ragged, sitting on the deck of the boat in 95 degree weather with chill bumps all over. Nothing like it!
