The first couple of months are rough going. The wif and I worked as a team as much as possible.
You have to be really carefull with bottles if you plan to breast feed - because once they take to a bottle you can't get them to go back to the breast.
The breast all ended when she got a breast infection - very common - she was shaking and freezing but soaking wet in the middle of the night. She had a 102 fever. That was the last time she breast fed.
After that I would feed lil every 2.5-3 hours at night so K could sleep,

You're gonna have people bringing you lots of premade food and stuff. You'll need it. You won't have time to think aobut cooking, etc. And you're only one person. take as much help as people offer. Let them do your laundry, bring you food..
But don't let them visit for long periods if it prevents you from resting. Tell them at that if they want to come over - they have to bring food and keep and eye on the little one while you nap.
