move your bar over to where the ez curl bar rests...thats what i do

my point is why?
why should i have to?
what if the fuck who wants to use the rack cant even 1/4 squat what im curling?
or he just doesnt know wtf hes doing overall?
what gives him more right to the "power cage" than me?
remember its not just a squat rack.

because you have other areas to curl at (ie where the ez curl bar rests)
squat rack is the only safe place to do a squat....

Well it's a "POWER CAGE" meant for doing squats and power movements. Curl is not a power movement and can be done anywhere. Set up a bench and curl there. And if someone can't squat 1/4 of 135lbs they probably aren't in the gym.

Or do you think you're just that much more important than everyone else that you can deprive them of equipment they need and you don't?

i dont even know at this point why im still debating this.
ive already stated that if someone needed the rack for its "intended" purpose by all means i would relocate w/out an additude.
i didnt mean to upset anyone(those of you who have bombed me) i just dont see what the problem is. scotsman, lets say your benching, and no-ones using the squat rack, you happen to look over and someones over there curling, tomorrow are you going post about them in the morons at the gym thread?

^^^ conflicts with your above statement

while you're relocating I just lost 5 minutes of my precious time. Hey bud its called a squat rack for a reason. When I curl I pick the shit off the floor. When I stand shoulder press I clean then press it and I also pick from the floor.

please come to my gym on my leg day and do curls in my rack

seriously though, most people wouldnt go up to someone and say, "hey are you done curling yet, cause i need to squat". Its proper gym etiquette and you can do curls almost ANYWHERE.

"lets say your benching, and no-ones using the squat rack, you happen to look over and someones over there curling, tomorrow are you going post about them in the morons at the gym thread?"

yes, i would tell the story about how dumbfounded they looked as I unloaded their bar and tossed it off the rack right infront of them.

If there is absolutely no one wanting to use the squat rack then I begrudgingly think it's ok. I just don't understand curling in the squat racks, I always used a bench or put the bar on the floor. Now if I do bar curls I use the preacher curl bench to hold the bar.

When I was a gym manager I didn't allow anyone to curl in the squat racks and would ask people to relocate if they were. The reason being is that 99% of the people who curl in the squat rack will not relocate if someone wants to squat. I had to wait like 15min the other day at my gym because some dickbrain was curling in the rack and the others were in use.
