Breakfast for me is usually around 100 grams. The other 6-7 meals I eat are between 50-75. I voted 80 as an average.

damn....
maybe im not eating enough southernlord

I would rather waste it than not have enough. Eating every two hours and such a high amount of protein keeps my metabolism jacked. This is allowing me to add size at a faster rate than normal with little to no fat gain.

slords, layinbeezy, gokartalot: do you get better results eating that much protein compared to other times in your life when you've eaten less? A doc once told me savage amounts of prot are badnewsbears for kidneys.. but i guess it's working out for you folks?

i'm an "enhanced" athlete. my body utilizes the large amounts i'm consuming.

the idea is to stay anabolic and a steady supply of adequate amounts of
aminos are crucial.

when training hard and building, i'll take in as much as 350 GM's. during
maintenance, i'll drop to around 250 GM's.

I take in about 40g's at a time, and i consider myself an endurance athlete with power/strength being worked in as part of my workouts. I stay lean with this but when i go higher i get bad gas/frequent trips to the shitter.

i take in 420-440g a day. always 7-8 meals a day spaced out 2.5-3hrs apart. since starting this i have noticed many different things in my body composition. like southernlord stated, i'd rather have too much than not enough.

Care to lay out what a typical day of eating is for you? including food and protein shakes?

Thanks!

MWM, nice diet - are you carb cycling? Looks like you incorporate some high GI stuff. Hows that work for you - I normally avoid hi GI's like the plague but obviously works for u.

Any theory behind adding them?

really the only thing high gi is the baked potato and i don't always eat it, just on my high carb day.

i do cycle my carbs, not as strict as i use to though. i'm in more of a bulking stage rightnow.

and the bagel bro!! LOL

Whe you cycle on low carb days do you drop below BMR as well?

its whole grain so it doesn't bother me, i eat a whole grain bagel or 2-4 slices of whole grain bread everyday. on my low carb days i just drop out some of the bread, oatmeal, rice, and potato.

i have been trying to keep my calories as high as possible with the cleanest food possible. my goal was to hit 200lbs by january and i hit that in August, so now i'm striving for 220. i plan my diet like i already weigh 220lbs and eat like i weigh that. I've had my best success using this strategy.

Cool bro - awesome natty progress.

BTW I tried Omegas chest routine last night...ouch...did you duild a lotta LBM as well as tone from that?

yea, it ripped me up very nicely. i got hard as hell with Omegas routines

But did you add as much muscle mass as liftin hevy you think?

my diet was half the protein/caloric intake it is now. so if i would have been eating like i am now, then 100%. I was making great gains with barely over maintenance calories and about 1.5g per lb of protein. only reason i have switched up my routine some is to do something different for a while. i will 100% go back to the Omega routines in the near future with current style of diet.

What is Omega's chest routine? My chest is still flabby and I'm really looking to harden up and push myself beyond the limit.

Sounds awesome - I have noticed that omega promotes a calori intake of abot 250 cals above maintenance. On aas I think a lotta guys grow on this.

Im on AAS and 800 cals over - I may drop this and see if I can bulk and stay lean

i believe it is a sticky in the lifting section

I aim for around 65g per meal more when I bulk.

I always read its 1-1 1/2 g per lb of body weight. But if your dieting it's best to take 2g per lb of body weight because 30% of the macro breaks down during digestion also this prevents muscle been lost while dieting ;)

Thank you for this...I was either on this forum or another arguing with a member who was saying that 1.5-2 grams of protein per pound of bodyweight to build muscle on a 6'4", 170 lb kid was way too much and was basically ridiculous! I will find that thread and link this back to his dumb ass, anyway yes I agree with everyone here as far as protein intake...if the kidneys is a concern, water...water...water! Plus if your training intensity is high...your body will utilize it completely!
