just curious what the average is in our group. sleep/rest is definitely one of the things i lack in and im trying to be more strict and following a better schedule.

i used to go to sleep every night during the week around 2-3am and then wake up around 6:45am. i was fine with that and was able to get thru training and whatever else during the day no problem.

now that im trying to go to sleep around 12 every night i find that i feel more tired during the day, almost like that too much sleep feeling...i guess its just my body getting used to a new schedule.
 
@ least 7-8 hours here. in bed and asleep by 10 pm up at 5-5:30 am.
 
Rest and sleep are very imprortant. I hear 6 hours is the average for what someone needs to get through a day healthy. But a nice nap in the middle of the day doesn't hurt either.
 
if I got to bed at 9 or 10 < i can sleep till about 7:30-8 the next day. Some days I'll fall asleep at like 4 in the afternoon and sleep until like 7 the next morning but only when I'm real tired. Always try to get the most sleep possible (9+)because I know what its like to not et a lot of sleep and it makes you feel and think like shit. all you want to do is kill yourself...lol
 
I average around 6 myself but like you said if I get 8 or more I feel alot more tired the next day, one of those mysteries like eating late at night and waking up starving the next day, but when im training heavy its alot easier to fall asleep thats for sure.
 
yeah, it used to suck when I'd have practice at night and I'd take these sups to help me get geeked for practice. Then that whole night your tossing and turning. Finally I found a sleeping aid that would help calm that. For every upper theres a downer I guess.
 
Right now, about 9.. and only because Im laid off again.. If im working usually only 5-6. I treasure my sleep now, getting up at 9am is so nice.. :)
 
I would love to be around 9 or 10 hours but unfortunatly, one of the harder things involved with having kids means less sleep. I probably average 6 or 7.
 
I get 5 - 6... I'd like to get 8... but I'm usually up on this damn board too long... :)

I don't sleep much since I got struck by lightning in the summer of 1999.
I have gone on as little as 2 hours a night for several months at a time....sometimes I can get 6 or 7 quality sleep hours, but most of the time it is less than that.
 
won't be able to top the lightening thing... so forgot what I was gonna say.

But since I voted, ...a solid 8 hrs during the week and often 11 on the weekends. Love sleeping, but its my bed, I can't get OUTTA BED... Bought a luxury Tempur Pedic King Size top-o-da-line that set me back some duckets but I have never felt better in my life. Back problems are G O N E!!!! Highly recommend you get one if you have back problems.

When off @ 8. When on, probably 6-7 - but I am up every two fuckin' hours looking for something to eat!
 
dis past 2 weeks ive been getting very little as ive been taking methyl 1 test
if i dont take sleeping pills i wont sleep at all
 
I normally do 7 hours at night and than a PM nap.

While I've been healing up, I've taken Excedrin PM, one at night.
Man o man! That puts me out like a light for 9 1/2 hours. No dreams and no tossing and turning at all. I'm concerned about addicition and will get off it in about 5 days.

Right on bro! I have a nice bed as well and it makes all the difference in the world. I set my room up so it is conducive to sleep, nice clean sheets, dark, comfortable bed and sleep for 9-10 hours at a time. I look at it as part of my game plan to get diesel. Eat, SLEEP, train right?
 
I sleep terribly, especially when dieting but I wake up allways 2-3 times a night. Lunesta does nothing and Ambian is not for me due to hangovers. I have found that 5mg valium does me well without a hangover. Even when I can sleep more 7 hours is maxed out., I just wake up. I believe I would grow more and be leaner if I slept more but......

Not enough.. i'm here at the AF Store every morning at 9.. and I like to have my fun @ night.. usually get to sleep at around 3.. wake up at 830 for work.. here from 9-2.. then i nap from 3-5.. sometimes 3-7 :o
 
usually around 7 or 8...but last night i got about 12 hours...woke up for a couple hrs...then slept another 4-5 hrs...then im here typing at the computer...lol
 
I'm on tren and eq and I sleep like a baby. I also have a degree in psychology and know how to fall asleep even though it feels like I can't.

5-6 hrs for me i work for the fire dept and work goofy hours switching from days to midnights to afternoons every week, rest is my biggest problem i just don't get enough and i can tell in the gym on the days i don't get at least 6hrs the night before.
 
5-7 for me. Had a rough time after switching to injections from gel, but things seem to be normalizing now. I workout at night and eat my last meal around 11, and this seems to make it harder to fall asleep. Plus I get up twice during the night to piss. Been a long time since I've had a full night's uninterrupted sleep.

Since I had encephalitis Jan '06 I've slept badly. Until very recently I generally woke up about every 45 minutes all night long. Like some of the other posters I've tried sleep aids, but they are either useless shit that does nothing, or leaves me stoned and/or potentially addicted. Just recently though my neurologist put me on an old tricyclic antidepressant, Elavil, and I've been sleeping like a baby, with no next day hangover at all. Plus the stuff is dirt cheap, so even if you dont have insurance you could buy it mailorder very affordably.
 
It depends. Normally 9 on weekdays, 10-12 on weekends when im off. When on tren, its more like 2hrs up for 20mins, 2hrs, up for 20 again.. throughout the night, that probably adds up to about 4-6 hours of real sleep, but with tren, im not tired at all when i do get up, and i feel like a god anways, so guess im good ;)
 
I usually get between 6-7 hours of sleep a night. I drink alot of water all day and evening and usually a shake before I go to bed. I Have to get up 2-3 times a night to piss.
 
I get 7-8 a night. I use 2 products my nutruionist gave me. Revitalizing Sleep Formula made by Premier Science (she said 2-4 caps)..... I take 3. The other is Melatonin in a pump bottle it is by Life-flo she said 1 inch anywhere on the skin. I sleep like a baby and wake up fresh. Better that Ambien.
 
i would like to get 8-10 but rarely do. Iam about 6.5-7hrs a night. I do take naps on the weekends though. i guess Iam just getting old
 
When I was doing shift work, it was sleep whenever I could get a chance. Now I like to get at least 9-10 hours and take a 20-45minute nap sometime during the day.
 
right now, on moderate/low carbs, cardio, heavy weight training for contest I'm getting around 8 a night and sometimes crashing out in the early evenings for an hour or more (like last night came home at 5pm and slept till 6:45!). I'm just craving sleep right now.

I sleep very badly no matter what I take e.g tren.
I try to sleep 8-10 but it usualy ends up 10 in bed 6 actualy sleeping because i wake up every couple hrs. I work nights so I sleep in till mid day at least most days. It is getting to the point that I think im developing a sleeping disorder but dont want to have to take pills to fall a sleep. had to leave the gym to day after warming up as I was far tooooo tired. you know them days when the 20kg plates feel like they weigh 50kg
 
I always shoot for 8, wish for 10, but get about 6 maybe 7, plus I'm military so it's not always up to me. War dosen't stop because your tired. I think I've been sleepy for the last 7 years lol.
