Theres a lot of people who have it worse then black. How about the Jews. When is the last time you heard them complain. Most people don't comprehend what happened to them.

An ex-gf of mine is 1/2 Chippewa and she gets free medical (including prescriptions) and went to college for free (she's a pharmacist). She's originally from Marquette MI.

For instance:

My tribes first hotel

Housing initiative

First new construct school

Water purification plant

And because of this they were able to do all of those other things and are now the absolute largest emplyer in the entire state of Wisconsin.

I understand the problems and the issues, but labeling all, for the situations of some, is dirty pool at best.

Positivity people.....amazing that a stereotype stills commands more respect than reality.

but in the UP not too many natives are living good
the ramshackle houses you'd think nobody lived in are native homes for the most part
so i wonder if your situation is not the norm?
cause i gurantee that the majority of natives in this region are in the poverty range

It actually is the norm....It falls upon the individual in that situation, because the opportunities to be in a much better situation are there for them and available. Even if their tribe is not financially sound, the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), will assist them with the means to move forward. It's like saying that because so many white people that choose to live in beat down trailor parks and live off the government to support their alcohol addictions would be the norm for caucasions. It just simply is not true.
