How can you ask for a prenob from someone you marry?

Stangfriik said:
yea but are you willing to bet half of what you have worked for that it won't happen when you get married.

HUH??

Dude, I tried reading it like 5 times but I have no idea what you just said. Sorry, but maybe add a comma or two? :)

lol sorry man I'm trying to do tech support and type here at the same time. When you do get married, are you willing to bet half of what you earned that nothing will ever happen in the 50+ years of being together? I'm not saying that it will. Hell I hope it doesn't. But if I did have some sort of fortune, I couldn't risk losing half of it to someone that didn't work for it just b/c I couldn't accept the fact that shit happens.

Well, I won't marry anyone I don't fully trust. Trust is one thing that takes a lot of time to build up. But once I am ready, yes I will trust her cause there will be no doubt in my mind that we will forever be together. If she were to break my heart after such a trust, I would have no reason for living ...

here in california, prenuptials are null and void after ten years of marriage. so signing a prenup wont do you any good unless you get a divorce before that decade is up...unless the laws have changed

The problem is that you guys are looking at marriage as a financial investement and not an act of love.

The naivety of this statement is paramount, skate.

Keep thinking like that you'll not only end up fucked over, but broke as well.

Good luck in finding Ms. Perfect.

I'm in one, thanks.

I think you are overlooking the fact that modern day marriages are much more than "love"

It's a PARTNERSHIP between man and wife. (Notice the word in CAPS, skate? Much as two people enter in to a PARTNERSHIP in a business)

Marriage is a legal contract.

What is the #1 reason married people fight?

I think you are having an identity crisis, JR.

I am X, you are skate. Please, get it straight.

As for the marriage, please point out the part that says, "Love" Did I miss it? Am I blind? Can I spell prenuptial.

Yah.
