Home workouts

I'm currently in a situation where I can't leave my house to do anything but go to work and come back, which means no gym time. At home I have a weight bench w/bar, curling bar, and dumbells. Does anyone have a good at home workout mappped out? I have some ideas, but I'd love to get some advice from the forum. I'm almost at the end of my cycle, so I really want to hit it hard while I'm stuck at home.

Thanks bro's,
Thunder

Use some imagination bro. As long as you have a pair of dumbelss, you can train every muscle.

I was going to say the same. Invent buddy. You know the basic movements, the physics behind it, you just need some heavy pounds of iron and you're on the other side.

I know everyone here has a smith machine and other heavy equipment but I'll recommend to you the stretch and press portable gym. I use it 2 to 4 times a day and I'm losing weight and gaining crazy muscles. I'll post before and after pictures jan 1st. then every 6 months after.

Dude, find a good gym and save yourself the hasle
what would you suggest? I've used and tried different equipment over the last 20 years before and after military. but I've had this for a couple of months and loss 8 pounds I'm toning and building muscle faster then any other form of fitness training I've tried. and I look forward to using it because it's pretty easy on my joints.

I know there's a lot of products on the market and different products are for different people. I'm older and realize that hey look at me I'm bench 400 pounds don't do nothing for you but get you hurt. it's not about how much you lift, it's about working out on a consistence and daily bases. I'd bet you if you saw my tone you'd think I'm a member of the golds gym. I just found something that works for me and I was just sharing it with you.

PS: I'm not under house arrest I'm 43 and retired

No, I'm the one on house arrest. It's pretty sweet. lol. Actually I've been kicking more ass at home I think. I watch some pumping Iron for inspiration while hitting the weights. For the record... house arrest still sucks!

get some of those heavy tension rubber bands from an athletic store. 10 bucks and works way better than that bullshit door thing in that video. I would bone the girl in the video for sure though.

Go down to the link AFTER the SQUATS article... The video clip on Squats. That is how I trained for years.

This is my last week of house arrest... thank God! I've been very creative with the wieghts I have and have seen some good gains. I did notice it's much harder to keep a lifting schedule at home compared to hitting up the gym though. I've lost a lot of weight but it's been fat weight per carb cycling. I can't wait to hit the gym come Monday!

if youve got a barbell and DBs then with some imagination you can hit every muscle group with multiple exercises. bringing it back to old school bro!!!

I wouldn't knock anything before trying it. You'll probably be surprised of new ways or doing things with out hurting yourself.
