This is a very short question but I have tried looking for answers wityh the search engine and have come up with nothing. Anyways after gaining some weight after the holidays...Ive decided to start a keto diet...Anyways Ive been eating almost zero carbs since Monday (5 days today) and Ive noticed one very particular thing. Ive been retaining water like crazy. I mean...I drink alot of water all day long ...glass glass after glass of water..but I seem to have stopped peeing completely. Also Ive started doing cardio twice a day in hopes of accelerating my fat loss but it seems I hardly sweat anymore. Today I looked at my body and it is certain that I am retaining alot of water. Are keto diets supposed to make yuou retain water the first few weeks??Are my electrolytes balancing out or something since I have never gone low carb before and my body is used to storing water from carb intake??Or is this diet messing up my kidneys and making me retain the water I drink instead of emptying it out??My sodium levels are in check so that isnt it. Im really worried because I am drinking massive amounts of water and hardly squezzing out a drop....help please
