Monday Am my workout partner did a right Bi site injection using Hm Gear (has used from this bottle b-4 so we think its clean) The injection was not going in so he pushed the plunger harder and harder then it shot in.....he had lots of pain !!! It was sore all day. Thuesday am it was swolen 1-1/2" larger than the other arm, stiff as hell lost all defination in bi's and Tris, his forarm is even a little swolen. It's no better today. Any Ideas ???

He is experianced in sites he was using 1 1/2 23ga pin

ps No this is no way to increase arm size !

Did he mix oil and a water based compounds? Or shoot oil and water on seperate days but still in a short time period in the same spot?

How deep did he go, if I'm doing any inj. in the arms I use 1" if not smaller pin. How much gear did he shoot also and what kind? Maybe he hit a nerve or something. Maybe he got and abcess. Dunno. Not enough info to make a good guess.

Nope Only 1cc of an oil based product and only did a injection on Monday, he is doing monday and friday injection using HM gear as a bridge.

This is why I go nowhere but quads and glutes. Smaller muscle groups scare me. Let us know what you find out.

would abcess develop on 24 hours and make the whole arm swell?
he drove the pin in about 1" to 1-1/4"

viper -what other info can I findout for ya to help

Dunno if it's related but I had an issue with a quad injection similiar to this. I had alot of pain during an injection but continued with it anyway. The next day, my whole leg had swelled up to a point that I couldn't bend my knee. Naturally I got nervous, but decided to wait it out for a day or two. It took prolly close to 10 days for the redness and water retention to go away.

My only guess was that maybe the gear had somehow leaked under my skin more than being absorbed into the muscle, and this had caused a large amount of irritation.

No idea really.
Make sure you watch it closely.

What did he shoot? One CC of what? He may have injected really close to a nerve or vein and it is causing some irratiation. I wouldnt expect an abcess to develop so soon, maybe after 48 hrs or more but not in 24 hrs. The swelling is the oddest thing though as it is also in his forarm you said right. I would think that an abcess would only cause localized swelling where the injection was not down into his forearm. Is there any redness? Is the area where he injected hot to the touch? If you can get a thermometer, one of the digital kind, you could check the surface temperature of his skin at the area of the injection and surrounding areas to see if there is a major temperature change.

Intresting......thanks for the insite
When did you start seeing improvements ?

Well, at the time I swore my leg was going to fall off. In my search for some reassurance, someone suggested to outline the edge with a marker to see if it's really getting better or worse. Since it was on my leg, it wasn't a problem so that's what I did. I could see right away, maybe in a day or 2, that the redness was starting to disappear. But it was close to 5 or 6 days before I could walk normally again and close to 10 days before it had completely disappeared.

I think I had the same problem that you did a few months ago. I injected a lot lower on my quad than I normally did just because it was getting annoying pushing thru all the damn scar tissue. Within a few days that mofo swelled up and turned red as hell. I could feel the knot under my skin and it was really tender to the touch. I think I injected really close to a vein and it was causing a whole lot of irratation. It took a total of about 2 weeks from the onset for it to go away. Never had a fever or felt sick, it just hurt like hell.

As long as he is not showing a fever and the red area does not seem to be getting any bigger I feel that he should be alright. Having a fever and the red area being hot is a good sign of the body fighting an infection and so far those signs are not there.

My first ?. did he go to a doctor?

Well last Thursday he went to the Doc, The doc Scheduled him for an MRI friday AM.............Well seems he the shot was too deep also the tissue was right next to a Vien which pinched the vien between the oil in the tissue and the bone thus not letting Blood back to the heart, blood was being traped in the arm. The doc surly dose not seemed worred he could not fit him in Friday so he is seeing him today...........

I'd almost be worried, not letting bloodback to the heart that seems kinda serious. At least he got it checked out and is going to be alright. Tell him next time to use a smaller pin 1" would have been a better choice.
