Golds Gym Venice

yeah aaron baker did retire, and quit juicing for a bit, but my friend knows him well and they were talking today while I was in the gym and I would say aaron baker weighs around 265, he hit the weights again and the juice, for a while he was hovering around 240, but he is big now, but most pros are short, I say 5''8 on an average.

Sweeeeeeet

Damn, what a great trip.

I had a great time in venice, and man could I become a born again californian.

We hit L.A.X around 5:00 pm. sat, and after checking into a hotel near the beach in el segundo, went straight to the ocean for a sunset walk along the beach ( I am a romantic at heart, and the ocean is just a great site around sundown). After a nice dinner we went back to the room, and let me just suffice to say, that my girlfriend is an incredible lover.

The following morning after breakfast, we went straight to gold's. I was a little suprised at how small the gym actually was, ( the gold's that I go to is bigger), but the atmosphere there was awsome.

As we walked in, I saw amy fahdli, and tito raymond by the front desk, ( Amy is an incredilble looking woman, and tito is a lucky dog). Guy grundy was working his back, and that motivated me to start my first set with a bang. ( Guy has also got a pair of pins under him that are big as hell, his calves looked like they were sharp enough to cut through his spandex).

Me and mary just tore it up, we were so motivated that rowing with 200. lbs ( usually tough) was cake. Mary ( with only a year of training) was rowing with 80 lbs. for 9 clean reps. We did those after our pulldowns, whitch also were strong as hell. " by the way, mary is 5'6" and 140 lbs, so we sort of look like mutt and jeff, I am mutt".

Everyone was training hard, I did not see even one person just standing and talking. We blasted out heavy incline dmbl presses, and both of us were able to press our most recent best poundages. I made it a point to train in each of the three main areas, and must say that while the gym is packed close together, the equipment ( even the older stuff, is superior. They even had the old nautalis ( sorry, can't spell) equipment, ( arthur jones would have een proud).

We did incline flys, and bench press, ( Mary put up 95 lbs. for a double in good form, Damn that little chick is getting strong). I got pumped to the tits, and just had a blast. Everywhere you look there are great bodies being pushed to the limit, what a motivation. After two and a half hours ( yes I am still sore), we headed to the beach for pizza, and beer, ( Ya baby, Thank the lord that I wasen't required to stay tight on the diet this weekend).

What a freakshow, Man there was every type of person, bodytype, personality, within every mile stretch of beach. Everyone was just hanging out ( some more than others), but it was cool that you could do or be anything, and be accepted. You had your buff bodies, next to your rotund ones, and more skin showing than any other place I have been to. We went to the pit, and along the walk, then had to get back to the car for our next location.

Now ya gotta understand that I LOVE motorcycles, and classic cars, ( Been riding since I was ten, and my first vehicle was a 1960 bug, that I still have). There were harleys, everywhere. You coulden't go a mile without seeing fifteen customs ride by, and they were interspersed with everything from lead sleds, to model a's, and t's. ( I saw ten pre 1920's, just driving up the PCH).

This trip was cool, I didn't see any pro's, at gold's, but I have no complaints. What a great time. For anyone who hasn't gone to gold's venice, DO IT, it is great for stoking up your motivation.

Hasta la pasta, E:karate:

bro I still cant believe that you didnt stay where I told you too, el segundo is cool, but hell, did you eat at the firehouse, and did you go to max muscle and musclemag international, if not you missed out, there is also a hotskins store and a perfetto store down the street from the gym also........you think the gym is small, hell It is huge, and you say the pit, you mean muscle beach at venice beach, well all I have to say is you better move out here soon........and hit me up next time you come.........Ill take you to the gym and to all the spots............see ya next time............

how I envy you of being there, would ask the pros how the fuck they've got so fucked vascular.
Keep us updated and if possible send a pic

Yo CN1

Hey bro,

Yea, we hit the max muscle store, but unfortunately missed the musclemag int. We went to the firehouse, but it was packed, and I was so hungry, that I cruised to the beach and hit a cafe.

The only reason we stayed in el segundo, is my girl has this travel club that gets her discounts on hotels at around 50% off, and who am I to argue, when she foots the hotel, and the airfare. ( told ya my girl is cool).

Gold's venice is smaller than the gold's here in mesa, but I must say that the gym itself is great, and the equipment is the best I have used. Thank's for everything, and you can be assured that " I'll BE BACK" ( sorry, couldn't help but use an arnold line).

Hasta bro. E;)

I'VE TRAINED AT GOLDS VENICE QUITE A FEW TIMES. I WENT LAST SUMMER BUT I DIDNT GET TO HIT ANY OF THE SPOTS (IE...FIREHOUSE). I'M GOING BACK SOON THOUGH. I'M GOING TO VEGAS IN AUGUST SO I MIGHT JUST RENT A CAR AND DRIVE TO L.A. FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS.

L.A. IS THE SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M THINKING OF MOVING THERE AS SOON AS I FINISH SCHOOL.

CN1---IF I GO BACK SOON, I'LL MAIL YOU!!! I WANT TO HIT THE SPOTS. I GOTTA GET IN A LITTLE BETTER SHAPE THOUGH. I'M NOT LOOKING HALF AS GOOD AS I DID LAST SUMMER.

yeah max muscle really dont have shit right now since they have the summer gear, but when winter comes they will have more, hey katana I bet you loved venice beach, I forgot to tell you the best spot on the beach is right there where they rollerskate, anyway yeah its great to work out with all the pros, I know alot of them, I know craig titus, melvin anthony, guy grundy, flex wheeler, shit and alot others..........but hell its a grind making it there, you can plan that it will take 4 hours out of the day to train and all the driving, takes me about 20 minutes to get there from my house, but its well worth it, I am starting to come up in there, on monday I worked out with my buddy who plays for the baltimore ravens, he just got back from playing in the world league, but yeah for all the people who have never been here you gotta come!!!!!!
