Goal: Jacked inner pecs and thunderous biceps

can u briefly explain the difference between a jerk (power jerk) and push press? I always have trouble differentiating btw. the two...
 
In any sort of jerk you use leg drive to give the bar the momentum to move upward, and lock it out only using the speed of your body dropping underneath the bar.

A push press is just that - a press. You use leg drive to give the bar upward momentum, then continue the movement by pressing upwards with the arms. No jump under. Push pressing is an assistance exercise for developing overhead strength and learning to use leg drive.

BiggT - if you bench press the gay guy you'd have enough money to buy a video camera. ;) Maybe the owners of the gym would be willing to video tape some of your lifts.....wear tight pants and have them shoot the vid from behind......just a thought. :evil:

Worked out a little earlier

Chins: bodyweightx 11, 9, 8, 6, 6

Decline Situps: bodyweight + 45lb plate x 4 sets of 20

For this loading phase, there is 18 workouts planned over 3 weeks.....this was number 9. The fatigue is starting to build as expected, but everything is going according to plan....some olympic lifting on tap for tomorrow

BiggT rocks on his lifting, he even inspires women such as myself. You can't get much better than someone who's hardcore and old school.

....and my estrogen requires that I mention that eye candy is eye candy. :p
 
Hey bro, your training regiment and numbers are pretty close to mine. Have you ever thought of competing in strongman? You would probaly make a pretty good 231 lbr. Your olympic backround will def have a positive carryover to alot of the events.

Yeah, I've always watched it and been interested in it, I just never had a place to train any of the implements. Strongman and Highland Games were always things that appealed to me.
 
A friend and I have decided to get together every other Sunday for GPP/event-type workouts. He's about 300, big dude, and wants to get into Highland games and wants me to do it w/ him. I said, what the hell, I'll train for it just for kicks b/c you get to throw heavy stuff, etc. There's Highland Games going on in KC today. If I ever throw a caber, I'll video it for a good laugh.
