Don't justify his boorish behavior, that's right up there with blaming the rape victim. The issue isn't her pain, the doctors acknowlege the pain is there and exists and are treating it. He mocked her pain and the treatment for it, and all you're doing is giving justifying what he did to her. You're telling him it's okay he laughed at her suffering, no matter how mild or severe it is. Not one of us is capable of experiencing the pain threshold of another person. What is a 5 to me, may be a 9 or 10 to you, or vice versa.

And you don't know what's going on with her neck, I've heard plenty of stories of people ending up with herniated discs just from turning their head funny, nothing more.

When did everyone turn into wusses? What ever happened to 'walk/skate it off'? When did people forget the difference between 'hurt' and 'injured'? It was a little mean of him to laugh, but come on...someone with their head craned in a goofy looking neck brace looks funny, and quite frankly I wouldn't want to date someone who wouldn't find that funny if the shoe was on the other foot; just like when someone slips and falls and there are no bones broken...it's FUNNY for God's sake, and a chuckle before being asked if you are alright should be EXPECTED.

well obviously (if this is even true) she is injured because she has a neck brace and has to stay in bed for 10 days which made MM think that he seriously injured her (look at the thread title, I seriously injured my gf)
