Gargling w peroxide ED has to have some negative side effects huh?

Ok I took Bigtravis's advice on Teeth whitening and The results in 10 days have been rediculous I have to say.Here is what Ive been doing.

2 minutes brush dry w baking soda and a little bit of toof paste.

Rinse w a mouth full of peroxide for 1 min

Follow by a regular 2 min brush

The only bad side ive seen so far is my Tongue turns white for about an hour then turns back to its pretty pink color in about an hour.

Anyone Else Follow Big Travis Dental advice besides me?

I'm not sure it's the peroxide that's leaving the white film on your tongue.

peroxide makes my mouth taste like ass for 20mins or so after useage. . .other than that, no sides that i'm aware of.

commercial whitening strips use peroxide. . .no way they'd be allowed to sell that stuff to you if it was harmful, right?

those ridiculously overpriced periodontal treatments with the dandy flavoring in them are nothing like 1.5% H2O2, and presumably they're safe. Dentists recommend them and they are approved for daily use as oral rinses.

I used a mixture of baking soda and peroxide to brush my teeth once, and it burned the top layer of my gums off. It hurt, and they started to bleed, and the gums turned white for 1/2 hour. They hurt till i grew new gums back, about a week.

you're supposed to dilute the peroxide....i dont know what effect it has on enamel doing it the way you do.

it does WONDERS for breath and bacteria though. i use it every morning nad night, but again...it's diluted and only use for 30 seconds.
