Fuck finals and fuck the cost of college

I think I passed all my classes ;) . Actually, there was only one I wasn't doing good at all in, but that's because I didn't give a shit. Intro to Art. Dumbest fucking class I've ever taken next to Music Listening. I fucking hate gen. ed. classes. 12 credits in arts and humanities, math and natural sciences, and social sciences or something and not a single mother fucking one of any of those classes pertains to my degree in any way shape or form except the social sciences or whatever it is, because that's all the liberal arts shit.

But seriously, out of the classes I've had to take that don't pertain to my major or minor, what good are they going to do me? I'm not done with my gen. eds either, I'm trying to stretch them out as long as I can so I can have some easy classes mixed into my schedule at all times.

Worthless classes I've taken -

Music Listening
Intro to Art
Western Civ to 1650
Human Biology
Economic Geography
Elementary Electronics (not as easy as it sounds)
Intro to Sociology (fucking cakewalk class)
Triginometry (probably spelled wrong, transfer class)

I'll be finishing out my gen eds next semester with Philosophy and Dinosaurs, although I might drop Dinosaurs as it's a time slot I don't like and my schedule is NOT set up for adequate gym time (provided my shoulder is good, yeah, I'm still afraid to use it).

Fucking seriously, what's the point in all those classes? Yeah, I picked them myself, but that's a total of 36 required credits, 3 semesters worth of classes, a year and a half for the average student, fucking wasted. What ticks me off even more is there's no classes in the arts and humanities and the math and natural sciences areas that have a damn thing to do with my major. For my school, that's a waste of almost $12K when you consider it's close to $4k/semester with books. Add in my fuel costs for driving back and forth and it comes up even higher. OR how about the people that don't commute, the ones that live in the dorms, where the cost of a dorm room I think equals the cost of a semester...they're spending even more.

I went back to school to major in psych and minor in criminal justice. What in the fuck do I need all those other classes for? A "well rounded" education?! What's that going to do for me once I graduate? I'll be able to chat with my coworkers about the economy in South America, or I could discuss art or classical music, or maybe talk to them about the development of western civilization and how the Greeks contributed highly to democracy or how the Romans tried to persecute christians but failed, or maybe I can discuss dinosaurs with them or BS about philosoply, maybe chat a little about common sense, err, I mean, sociology.

The fact is, it's bullshit. All these classes, yet none of them have jack shit to do with my degree. College just seems more and more to be a waste of money, especially when you consider that a Bachelors today is just barely better than a high school diploma.

Then the private universities....that's an even bigger crock of shit. Susquehana U is right up the road and has a price tag of around $23K/year. What an even bigger waste of cash. Or how about Bucknell, which runs about $3200 per CLASS, not including fees. Yeah, that's a $140K or so education to be able to flip burgers. My gf's sister went to Susquehana, a $100K-ish education for a degree in SPANISH. A fucking BA in SPANISH! Then she turned around and went to a State U to get her Masters, which was about $25K. She's substitute teaching this year (luckily for her it's full time in a Spanish class), but that's just one year and she'll maybe cover the cost of her Master's degree. So she will have had her parents and grandmother pay for $125K in education so she can make $35K/year when she lands a full time position, if she ever gets up off her lazy ass and sends out her resume to school districts. She doesn't want to move out of home, it's free room and board for her, and to get a good job she'll have to move out of home to be closer to work.

Fuck it pisses me off.

Yeah man, I hear ya. Arizona has some of the lowest in state tuition costs around the nation...except I am out of state. It pisses me off to hear about instate people bitch about paying 3-4k/year for tuition while I'm at like 12-13k/year but its not biggie - just slightly more than California's instate school.

Plus there's an awesome amount of sluts here.

As far as classes go...some of them are so ridiculously off base. Why the fuck do I need to take these gen-ed classes, and some of them are just so specifically gay like: Pre WWII Peruvian Dance Literature 1928-1939 and shit like that.

But I can see the reason behind some gen-ed classes and some of them are interesting. I think its important for engineers to take at least one of these classes considering most of the students are pretty narrow and fairly gooberish. I bet 60+% of them are virgins.

Classes I took this semester:

AME 250: Dynamics
AME 230: Thermodynamics
AME 324A: Mechanics of Materials
CE 210: Engineering Graphics

Grades I am thinking will be B, B, B, A respectively.

In hindsight all this material is stuff I know really well and am kind of mad that
I didnt pull at least another A. - what can I say, between lifting and eating and trying to get action priorities were put aside.

AME = Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering
CE = Civil Engineering

Classes: lined up for summer
- Engineering Analysis
- Mechanics of machines

Fall Semester:
- Fluid Mechanics
- Engineering Component Design
- Engineering Materials Lab
- Numerical Methods
- Fundamentals of Materials for Engineers & lab

how the hell do I have so much time to post on elite??

Fuck that engineering shit. They teach you so much crap that you won't even use. I was taking electrical engineering before and was asking my dad questions. He's an EE. He said, "what the hell is this shit? You won't even use this when you graduate college."

At the time he had been working in his feild for almost 20 years and said he had forgotten all the stuff that I was showing him. He wasn't in an "easy" feild either, at the time he was doing areospace work (government sattelites).

Broaden your mind a little bit an learn to understand and apreciate art. It'll only hurt a little.

It's not that, it's the fact that I have to take such stupid classes. It makes no sense to dump that much into education to learn about stuff I'll never use. I'm open minded enough already.

This reminds me that at some point I should finish my graduate degree. Ive been lazy

BabySmurf, you need to get to work on your shit.....

I just hope you have what it takes to write your Master's thesis. :worried:

If you're paying the same amount either way, why would you leave California?

I can't understand that.

Especially for Tucson.....that place is boring.....if you were set on AZ, you should have gone to ASU.....there's alot more to do in Tempe.

As far as the women go, most of them are from the east coast or California......such a variety, all races, all colors, all shapes, all flavors.

A Maters IN School Psychology does not require a Master's Thesis, rather a semester or year-long internship (at the University I attend anyway).

But yeah, If I went for a straight Psych degree, it would require a Master's thesis and yes I would find it difficult to complete but not because Im not smart enough. ;)
