First Shoulder Injection

I did my first ever shoulder injection lastnight! I have at least 20 cycles under my belt and have shot glute, traps, biceps, quad, and tris... For some reason never had the urge to shot my shoulder... It sucked ass! My chest was cramping from tring to press the pin, and input on making it easier? Shooting tren & masteron eod in shoulders, tren test and masteron eod in glutes. Thanks!:chomp:

next time warm the gear, hold the stringe at an angle all a drop to run down the needle while rotating it, makes things alot smoother

try pokin pecs

Which delt head did you shoot? I always shoot the upper part of the back head, and no pain/no bruise. If I go for the front head, it hurts like F**K for 3 days. Only thing is, it's hard to get the right angle if you're doing it yourself. I hold the syringe like a pencil from just above where the needle is attached, and pop it in straight 90 degrees to my delt. Then I use my thumb and middle finger to hold the barrel, and my pointer finger to push. Watch out not to hurt your other shoulder... Very unnatural reaching movement. If I can post a video here without putting it out on YouTube, I'd probably do it. (I'm new here, and don't know yet how the image & movie hosting works).

Ideally, get somebody else to do it for you.

You will get used to it quick bro.

i hate delts. i always had to hit front all the way from the inside pushing out. its a shitty area as far as reach goes. i do nothing but pecs now.

I've tried pecs, but got sore. I've kept it to the outer, upper area; about 1 1/2" above the nipple and 1/2 way between the nipple & pit (20g 1" needle, slight angle downward so as not to go too deep). What part of the pecs do you do?

i do 1.5 no angle mid and upper pec left and right. the pain from using a new site is something you should get used to quick.

I have never shot my pec. But I do shoulders, glutes, and quads. All with a 23g 1 inch pin.
You said you are using a 20g pin? Does that leave a hole when you pull it out? haha

That may be what causes the soreness. Try a smaller guage.

I did the drop running down the needle yesterday and it was amazing the difference it made. Hardly felt the thing going in. Thanks for this tip.

No hole or problems with the 20g for me... I've used 22s & 23s, but it's too hard to push the plunger when reaching around for delts. But one time I was out of 20g, and had to use an 18 (what I use to draw with). That left a scar (glute), but it didn't hurt any more than smaller pins. It freaks people out though to see anyone jabbed with something that big :faint: .

Thanks for the input! The pec shot still scares me a lil, I use a 25ga 1in. for shoulders. The pain has one away, however, I had the worst case of Fina caugh in my life lastnight. Glute shot and I must have nicked a vein, holly shit, I had trouble focusing my vision too! I love fina, but I hate such frequent injections. Plus with shooting 3 cc's eod it's hard to put it anywhere else! Peace

I used to go to an HRT clinic and the PA would do my injections. He was an ex-army PA and told me that they used to use the 18g to do penicillin injections on people that got stds. Said they wanted to teach them a lesson so the 18g would do it. haha

Holy shit!!!!

I've used a 16g on the glutes a few times... Hey; whatever's available! I really don't notice any difference in how much I feel the needle... But it's the idea of it that hurts. And if you ever go up for a muscle biopsy, you'll learn exactly what a BIG needle is.... I think they're 4g (like a pencil !!!). I've had a few of those done on my quads and one on my left delt, for research studies. The needle is so big that they have to numb the skin on your quad, and stab a scalpel into the muscle before the needle can go in. Novocaine works on the skin, but not the muscle tissue!

yea fuck that 16g! You do know you can order pins online so that you have available exactly what you want, right bro?

And 4g? That's the size of a drill... jesus man! I hope you're gettin paid for the research studies. Are they researching how much pain a person can take? haha

Trust me... If you've ever had a root canal gone bad on a Friday, and by Monday when the dentist is open, there's a golf ball (not exaggerating) sized abscess in your jaw bone, no needle on God's earth is thought of as painful anymore  .

I usually have plenty of all types of needles on hand, as we have a horse veterinary rehab hospital operating on our ranch. 18 & 16 g are the usual horse needles, and 25g for anesthesia. So we sometimes don't have enough 20-22g in stock.

On the muscle biopsies, that was a volunteer effort to see what the effects of working out in extreme heat vs. in a cool environment has on time of flushing of lactic acid from muscle tissue. Jeez; I can't imagine why they had to beg ME to do it... You'd think there would be plenty of willing victims (Uh; I mean volunteers).
