Sorry about the mistake, when i said dead-lifts, i mean stiff legs. I dont do regular dead lifts cause i can never seem to do it right and it always its my shins and quads (dangit!).

But generally, i like to do hamstrings first on the lying or seated leg curls, then do deadlifts so that my hams are fatigured and i dont have to do big weight on the stiff legs so i can concentrate on hams and not so much on lower back.

Try doin deadlifts with the sumo form. That should eliminate the problem of it hittin your shins and quads.

the only machines that have ever done anything for me were:

1) reverse hyper(if you can consider it a machine)

2) low pulley - pull-throughs and slow curls at an odd angle

thats it

most other machines dont even have enough weight on the stacks. im not very strong or anything, i'm just saying that for a lot of machines, people's bodies work differently on them.

i still think its not a good idea to start an excercise at an unnatural position and go through a fixed plane of motion.

I would have said something, but i dont much care for confruntation. The last time some chick took my machine (leg adductors) i told her that i had been using it and i would like to work in with her... and she looked up at me (another woman who choses to sit on the machine inbewteen sets) and in this really snoody voice she was like "NOOO, im using it!"

I was soo pissed off at this, my whole rest of the workout was totally thrown off. Now i have learned to just try and work around the problems in my gym, not confront them!
