But generally, i like to do hamstrings first on the lying or seated leg curls, then do deadlifts so that my hams are fatigured and i dont have to do big weight on the stiff legs so i can concentrate on hams and not so much on lower back.

Try doin deadlifts with the sumo form. That should eliminate the problem of it hittin your shins and quads.
