NY is correct. Fructose is best at replenishing liver glycogen. Glucose or maltodextrin is best for muscle glycogen. Fructose in higher doses will also cause GI problems because it is absorbed passively. All this has been shown in the literature years ago when they were trying to find the best way to replenish muscle glycogen after prolonged (4+ hours) of endurance exercise to exhaustion.
