OT but this is a good story. A kid was stealing change and what ever out of cars in my hood. Police caught up to him one night and this guy tried to swim across a lagoon to freedom. Problem was gators live in the lagoons, night time being the the most active time for the big gators. Kid got mauled and the nice police cuffed him waiting for the amblance. Well the police toss him on the ground which turned out to be a fire ant hill. LOL. They bit the shit out of him. So I'm thinking this guy learned his lesson about steeling things.

That was my exact plans for a thief who tried to break into my utility shed 3 times, however after comming within a hair of being caught he never came back!
Too bad, I had made a nice retainer on the tree i was planning to strap him to.

Fukking a 100% right on. I love dogs...but I think the few times I've been kept up at night by a barking dog I was capable of cruelty to animals.

However I'm not condoning what this guy did....but i do understand his rage....especially when its a little "rat dog"....

If there's a non-stop nuisance dog next door you don't beat on the dog....you beat on the OWNER. The dog is just doing what comes naturally to him...it's the owner's responsibility to recognize that the dog is just not suited to being in a populated area, and it's the owner's responsibility to then find the dog a more suitable home (ie farm with no neighbors for miles on either side).

That guy is clearly a piece of shit to do this to a small defenseless dog. If that was my dog,....I would either knock the shit out out him when he returned home, or payed someone to do it regardles of being arrested after myself. Animals only know what you teach them, and dogs do bark. That's what they do. Animals ( most dogs)show unconditional love, why would you beat one with a shovel? Very sad. You have to be one heartless bastard to do something like this.

We have Constitutional protections against cruel and unusual punishment; this is a good thing, however, my idea of punishment fitting the crime is neither cruel nor unusual.

Is it a good thing? I also believe in do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Do if somebody tortures and kills somebody I think that should be their punishment. The lethal injection is just too dang humane to violent criminals imo.

I live in an urban area in a flock upon flock of row home....we have someone who leaves their dog out ALL THE TIME....I don't blame the dog I blame them.....it's annoying that he barks all the time but it's not his fault, he's bored, and dogs bark when they are bored.....
