Just curious because im tired of paying 100.00 to fill my truck up id rather sweat

IIRC, lumberg said this isnt really true
if anything, having the recirculate feature engaged while AC is on in your vehicle creates more wind resistance (instead of the air flowing through y our vehicle)

I noticed that it did on my old honda civic........then again with the tiny engine, if you were going up a hill and turned on the AC, you felt it bog down a little...

I was just always brainwashed as a poor ass kid that the a/c is a luxury and should be used in moderation

i think mythbusters did this on an episode if i can remember correctly

the computer siad that ac on was better but in reality no ac was better

youtube may have the vid

Mythbusters def. did an episode and then had a follow-up comment. AC DEFINITELY burns more fuel.

Well i guess its gonna be windows down for this broke bastid

Im almost thinking that if your truck takes a hundred bucks to fill up, it probably makes a lot of torque so it could spare a few lbs to run the compressor and not make a huge difference........just a thought tho.

if you keep the rear windows down with the recirculate OFF you'll get better airflow through the car and likely less wind resistance
