Do you use dumbbells?

Do you use dumbbells in your power lifting routines?

If so, what exercises do you rely on dumbbells for? Do you use them each week or switch back and forth between barbell and dumbbell movements?

I'm trying to validate the purchase of a full set of dumbbells (up to 120's).

I currently work out at home and dumbbells are one missing piece of equipment that I'm debating on adding to the dungeon.

For rolling dumbells and some other tricep work.
They arent really a staple of our bench, but they do come in handy from time to time...

yes i use dumbells for triceps, front and rear delts, back, lats, side bends, lunges and once in a great while chest. i'm sure there is more i'm forgetting too

I use them all the time when my shoulder hurts and I can't do straight bar bench pressing. They really help. Especially for inclines. I also use them for an exercise called Arnolds for my shoulders.

rotator work (L rotations, windmills)
rolling triceps
shoulder warmups (side/front/rear raises)
palms facing dbell presses

thats about all i use them for.

"Arnolds" are a terrible exercise for sholders.
They incorporate WAY too much tricep, and they put the rotator cuff in an ackward position during a majority of the "lift".
Having your hands and dumbells in front of your body and that low transfers the work to the triceps to come out of the hole, and adds an unneccesary force to the rotator cuff by having to needlessly rotate part of the shoulder girdle as you come up.

Hmm, I forgot about using dumbells to secure bands... thats right! :D

triceps extensions, hammer curls, dumbbell cleans, pullovers, one arm dumbbell shrugs( one of my favorites for extra trap work).............oh yeah, to hold the bands on the floor,LOL id buy them.

dumbbell cleans are a good one

Hammer curls, dumbell snatches, front and lateral raises, rear delts, rotator work.

The hammer curls and snatches help with strongman stuff and the highland games.
