And therein lies the problem , no one side of almost any territorial conflict cannot accept the obvious truth that they are to blame for their crimes.
You can't accept what occurred and that is a shame, you think this person is the "perfect man for the job" , you deify this individual just as many deified Hitler and Pol Pot , but the real tragedy is that many of your brethren will die for views such as yours. And worse again , many on the other side of the conflict will hold similarly illogical views and they will condemn you as you condemn them.
Wouldn't you rather give a little bit , accept the views of impartial observers (even partial observers) ,not neccessarily mine and spare the lives of many? Have Jews not moved on a little bit from "An eye for an eye"?

well, as an Israeli/American citizen (born in Israel, live in US), i guess i am a little biased, but i try to look at things through an open mind....i definately think Sharon is at least somewhat reponisble for the massacre in Lebanon, even if he didn't order it, he had to know about it, i mean, you can't just let in an opposing army into a refugee camp...however, can anyone here name one Arab "Shalom Ahshav" (peace now) organization, i really couldn't think of any....and people that don't think that the US should support Israel...i think it is very important to have some kind of military machine in the middle east (in 1987, the Israeli Airforce took out an Iraqi nuclear plant (in the process of being made)...how would you guys feel if Israel hadn't been there to do that...? And also, how many US servicemen died b/c of Israelis strapping bombs to themselves and blowing themselves up..?

Leaf -glad to know that there are some moderates out there.However ,I doubt if there isn't a square inch of soil on the earth that isn't monitored frequently by the US for signs of arm-manufacturing activity.
BeardedClam ,when I was speaking of "you" , I was referring to the collective "you" , as in people who share your opinion, of course you don't have to give in to a fool like me.
On another point of history , "you kill ours , we'll take ten of yours" , this was the same policy adopted by Hitler's troops in their invasion of Belgium.
All I'm saying is I don't think that being belligerent is gonna get peace , and presumably you'd prefer that to more death.

There will never be peace there. Why does the USA support those damned Jews? All they do is blow up Palestinian babies.
