Curvy Expose' ~ Progress & Photo Journal

My workouts on the OMEGA project are going really great! I could not be more in love with the weight lifting. My eating *was* off track a little though. NO MORE!

Because I do NOT have a stomach but rather a 6 ounce gastric pouch, I feel like I need to eat constantly to get the correct and perscribed macronutrients in. I"M DOING IT NOW!!!! It has taken a long time to get it down but it's happening finally.

Here are the calf muscles that are developing and you will notice I still have a lot of fat to lose.

Sooooo.........

For the month of May I am HARD CORE :)

So for my own personal accountability...as of JUNE 1st It's Post up or Shut up Time...pictures that is! I'm throwin' down to gauntlet on myself

Here's where I am right now and I'm posting these up for my own motivation not for "atta girl's" and kudos (although THANK YOU!) because I'm partially motivated by the accountability factor of the work still ahead.

I've still got a lot of fat to burn but I know I can do it. I have a TON of loose skin to fill out with more muscle, lol! By the same token, in my whole life, I've never really had ANY visible muscles in my legs so I feel as though I'm on the right track.

(((Smurfy)))Thank you. I know I've never had any muscles you can see at all in my legs.

Most of my life, they've been covered in cellulite, self-tanner and "stylish" capri pants with a stretchy waistband, lmao!

It's all part of the learning curve hun.

I am becoming more convinced it is more about calories in - calories out.

A little bit of 'certain foods' is not going to be a major issue.

The issue is if those certain foods trigger binges or more cravings.

I know some have for me, but my last 'uni stress' only had me go for Scottish oat cakes and rice cakes.

Still slightly too many, but all in all, I was really impressed with my restraint.

That didn't happen overnight.

:)

Looking awesome CM, gonna subscribe so I can follow you here!

totally a motivation to anyone looking to transform thier body..

and also too anyone who wants to see a friendly smile.

a total asset to EF! :)

yes yes yes yes

it takes a while to figure it all out - trying to sort out diet

all while not losing motivation

but one day it all comes together

right?!?!

Curvy I can't get over your progress so far!! This is so motivating to all of us! Big props to posting those pics and letting us all be a part of this journey!! WOW!!

OMG!!!! CM! I just noticed this thread. Wow. U are truly amazing! I bet u feel so electric! Ur drive is amazing!!!!!!!

you LOOK GREAT!

sorry CM but you do not need any tucks or suction, or surgery etc......

in time with cardio, supps, and eating right your body will finish the recomp that is already well underway as we can all see!!

you are almost their!!!!!

:)!!!!!!!!

I completely agree. Stay with the diet and exercise, get yourself down to the size you want and then if you need to have surgery for loose skin then you can make that decision. But please no lipo or by-pass stuff :)

I get really bored on the same machine and after 25 minuets I jumped off the first one and onto the bike then went back for weights at 9:30, that's when I got roped into the weights class. My heart rate was up then too so it was a lot of cardio. Half of it was by accident, lol.

Is that too much working out you think?

I just wanted to reply to this. I worked with a trainer once who got me pretty fat in my offseason. The when it came to dieting me down I did cardio 2x a day and I wasn't eating enough. SO by the end of it I actually burned off a lot of my muscle. Needless to say I am working with a new trainer now and I can't stress enough how cardio is not the answer.

You can do your 1 am session then later hit the weight hard! Try to build up your muscle as that is the secret to burning calories. The more muscle you have the more you will burn at rest. Also, you need to eat to fuel the body. A post workout shake is best to refuel after heavy weights and I am glad to hear that you are doing that. The rest of the meals should be small and spaced throughout the day.

Well, too late for that. As an obese person I had NO CLUE about working out and how to eat, ect. I knew nothing of building muscle to burn fat and all that.

SO...I AM almost 4 years post op gastric bypass. That is how I lost over a hundred pounds in the first place. I've only been seriously working out and building muscle since January 2008.

I have a TON of ugly hanging skin that is scheduled for removal via TT June 20th. It's horrible. That skin was stretched to the limit when I was 300 pounds carrying a 9 pound baby and it's NOT snapping back, lol!

I know until (if I find the nerve) you guys ever see my preop belly skin you won't understand but trust me, it's a freakshow if my shirt ever comes up!

Great stuff here too Sessa! Awesome. I'm on a real muscle building program (Omega project) and will need those muscles to help with my mobility following my TT. The quads are the most important to lift yourself up and down when the abs cannot be engaged. :)

I think you are ready for the surgery. Most people who get it don't work out to actually get in shape before they have it. But, you did!

Go for curvymommy!

After reading this, I'm even more impressed with your courage and changes. I congratulate you for taking the steps to take care of yourself; most people just give up.
I encourage you (when you have the courage) to post your before, before pictures. You'll encourage a lot of women that are in the same situation you were in.
Although my situation is different then yours; I've decided to tell people my age (started at 40) in order to encourage women that is never too late to take care of themselves and look fabulous. Most women tend to hide it, but I'm very proud of it.
Anyway, back to you. You are an amazing woman..

It's very empowering to come out to the world and say, "this is me" regardless of age, what we've been through, ect! I commend you for being forthright in regards to your age. Dang, you are one hawt little number no matter how old you are.

Oh thanks so much! I am definately here to be a HOPE GIVER not to get a man. I have a man and am very at ease with where I'm going and where I've been. I am not shy about posting my fat pics up at all!

Am I disgusted? Yeah, a little. It's like I went bankrupt and now I'm becoming a millionaire and can't stfu about it, lol.

After this pic I had one more baby and gained a lot more weight :worried:

You know; when I see those pictures, I see the fabulous curvymomm that you are on the inside and forget how you looked on the outside. What you're doing for yourself is so much BIGGER then what you looked like. That's a tough thing to do and you achieved it..

Hey everyone! Tummy tuck and breast lift is in a couple days. Just wanted to be true to myself and post these pics up. I wish the changes were more dramatic but I've been working out pretty hard but not always eating as cleanly as I should. Anyway, these pics are what they are and I'm not going to live with a lot of regrets about my fitness or anything else for that matter. I just have to forge ahead and hold my head up.

This is me and I'm just putting it out there to show my progress. When I feel like I wish I could have come farther by my tummy tuck date I just look back at my obese pics and dust myself off and keep going :)

Hugs to all. Thanks for all your wonderful friendship and love. Seriously! I am so emotional right now. I have to go hold/play with/love on my kids now while I can. I won't be that huggable by Friday.

Special love to OMEGA for inspiring me to lift weights his way and I feel a lot better about my body now. A little less "square" and still REAL curvy. Never want to lose the curves believe it or not.

OMGosh, I want to cry. I've been like this for two days.

XOXO!

CM MAd props to you!!!

Believe it or not, the pic of you bending over grabbing the loose skin - I HAD MORE!!! After 4 pregnancies in 5 years even though I never gained the weight you did, I had to have TWELVE INCHES of loose skin removed from my abdomen. I was 104 soaking wet when I had the procedure done. The skin would fall out from underneath a one piece bathing suit... UCH it was SO GROSS... My breasts became so saggy and had NO FAT so they were like two floppy elephant ears. I had the body of a 65 year old nekkid native from the national geographic at the age of 30!!! No matter how hard I worked NEVER would that just *magically* go away....

So for my 30th birthday I got a tummy tuck and had a lift and implants shortly thereafter.

The rest is I suppose history as shortly thereafter I became the Ujena Swimwear Mother of the Year. I was at that time (dunno if it is still true) that I was the woman who had one that title with the largest number of kids. That was in 2000. I wonder if someday I will go back for shits and giggles with all four of my girls... LOL

Miss CurvyMommy... I knew there was something exceptional about you from the first time I saw you posting. I am SO PLEASED that you are here on elite to share your story, your triumphs as well as your hurdles... You are like a ray of sunshine inspiring so many people!!!

If you have ANY questions about either the tummy tuck or the lift - please don't hesitate to ask.

I cant WAIT to see the new *after* pics!!!

Woulda, shoulds, coulda what? Don't think this way. Your progress is nothing short of astonishing. Looking at your pics from two months ago until now you are a different person. Your posture is better, you have arms and shoulders starting to pop out, your calves are awesome, etc.... Don't look at where you think you should be look at how far you've come. Look how much more radiant and happy you look in each set of pics. <---- this is something to draw inspiration from to continue with what you are doing. As Eddy said this is a marathon not a sprint. You have to be in it for the long haul.

Cheers,
Scotsman

You should not think in terms of 'woulda, shoulda, coulda. Remember one simple thing... you're not done yet, my dear. It's like going to college and want to do your masters; you're now on your second year. It gets better. Every year is better as long as you keep working at it. And just when you think you can't learn another thing, some one comes along and show you another way of improving yourself.

Now I don't know you and you probably know this; so forgive me if you do. I'd suggest to work on your spiritual mind at the same time (not suggesting you haven't) is just a different muscle. I stated lifting in 1988 and working my spiritual mind in 1993. As you grow in one area, inevitably you grow in the other. That's how I got where I am. I am not talking religion btw.

The very best of luck to you with your surgery. You're awesome!!

CM,

It takes great courage to make even the smallest changes in our lives, I hope that every time you get out the shower, get dressed or catch your reflection in a mirror or storefront you'll look at yourself with great pride and say, I did this.

I want to acknowledge you for being so generous and sharing your whole transformational experience with everyone.

You know you are going to be making a BIG difference to a lot of women out there.

Hey CM,

Wishing you a speedy recovery :) Your transformation is truly amazing, you really worked hard!! The best is yet to come.

I'm starting w/Omega July 1st!! I'm hoping I get as amazing results as you have. I piled on a whopping 20 lb.s this year, so I need to get back in the gym & clean up the diet ASAP

WOW!!!
I just went through all 19 pages of your thread here. To say that your transformation is amazing is an under statement! You have inspired me to get back into shape.

Although you do not see it, your pictures detailing your changes two months apart show incredible improvements. Way to go!
