creatine ques from newbie...pls help

Never supp'd w/ anything other than protien before. Just bought cellmass and I'm a little skeptical. First, it says, on non- w/o days to take it immediatley on waking, and, on an empty stomach. The problem there is, I'm starving when i wake up in the morning. How long can i wait to eat after i take the cellmass? And two, can i put this directly into my PWO shake w/ some whey and dextrose.? TY for any help!

If by cellmass you mean celltech your better off flushing it down the toilet. Muscletech is a garbage company that invests their money in advertising and not back into their product.

On non-w/o days take your creatine 30 minutes before waking with high glycemic carbs (ex. grape juice) then go ahead and eat breakfast.

If it's an unflavored powder I don't see the problem putting it in a PWO shake.

BSN CellMass
The directions for taking it on an empty stomach are to aid in the absorption rate. Provided your pwo shake is not mixed with milk and/or casein based then there should be no problems. Alternatively, give yourself at least 30 minutes before you start adding solid food.

Thanx, ...it is BSN cellmass. kian..your site rocks.....Will waiting 30 min for solid food keep me in a catabolic state? Ive heard you need protien asap upon waking.

Thanks mate.

An individual weighing 200 lbs. who just sat (MET's value = 1) for 30 minutes would burn approximately 48 calories. Although this would be a catabolic effect, it would not have an overall negative effect on your system. You have to remember that the body is always in a catabolic state to some degree. It only becomes a concern when you are engaged in physical activity and you don't replenish nutrient and energy reserves/requirements. The real concern would be if you suffered from cachexia which is far more serious.

It is important to eat on a regular basis and to try to keep something inside you at all times to keep nitrogen and GH levels high. It is not, however, required that you eat immediately upon waking up. If you were in a cutting cycle, I would be advising you to perform 30-60 minutes of cardio as soon as you wake up, followed by a healthy breakfast.

If you are going to use any type of supplement then the supplement should adapt to your schedule and not the other way around. If you are finding that you are just too hungry to have to wait then the best advice is not to use the supplement. The supplement you have mentioned is not necessary in obtaining a good physique.

thanx again......you make alot of sense....just had my first PWO creatine/prot/dex shake......tastes like toilet bowl cleaner. Next time i'll get something unflavored. I know creatine is not necessary. ive been lifting for 3 yrs w/o it. I just thought a cycle or two of creatine might help me harden up a bit for the summer.TY again.....
