I couldn't agree more, and I find it absolutely heart-wrenching to watch what's being done to kids these days...it's all part of the dumbing down of America.
Much of it stems from de-sensitizing people; what was considered abhorrent behavior even 15-20 years ago has now become the norm, and is "socially acceptable." Sure, there were plenty of fucked up people 15-20 years ago, but we didn't glorify them like we do today. Something is seriously wrong with this country when kids are forced to look up to cross-dressing sports stars and rock musicians like Marilyn Manson as role models.
Society had the right (sic) to take a stand against such things then, but today the (vested) interests of political correctness have negated those rights. If someone dares to take a stand today, they're immediately labeled as intolerant or a bigot. (Interesting double-standard there... group "A" screams for accetptance and tolerance, yet refuses to accept and tolerate group "B"...and vice versa...but that's another rant I'll save for later)
Perhaps the saddest thing of all is the fact that there's little to nothing we can do about it now. You can't un-scramble an egg.
As much as I'd like to go on a nice little diatribe about this, I won't. I will say this much however;
It's gonna get a helluvalot worse before it ever gets better.
