Today the damn stopper came off after running under semi hot water, and you know those damn things never reseat again, unless there's a secret I'm unaware of. Now I want to cook it everytime before I use it.
it is VERY frustrating when good gear leaks out of a defective stopper.
i ordered some replacement stoppers from getpinz.com and the NEVER fit on properly like the original. i have learned to never use the same hole in a vial twice. best off putting a new hole thru the rubber each time when drawing
Microwaves are designed to work on water-based materials - the radio waves are at a resonant frequency of water molecules. I'm not sure if it would work on oils. Somehow I would bet that you will end up cleaning gear off the inside of the microwave...
