I wrote a letter to Lou Ferrigno, and he wrote back. I know nobody cares, but as he was a role model for me, I was very thrilled. Anyone else have any cool stories like that? Ever meet any pro's? Which ones were nice? Which ones weren't etc...

i know this is kinda off topic, but i think its cool that bodybuilding is one of the few sports where the pros actually make the time to get in touch with their fans, and share information with them.

it no doubt has to do with the link formed simply by sharing the bodybuilding mentality with others. i mean seminars, guest appearances etc. theres been so many stories about fans meeting their idols and having nothing but great things to say about them.

i think the fact that he wrote you back illustrates this point.

Arnold Schwarzenegger

I met Arnold Schwarzenegger! I stood beside him in an interview on TV and he also signed his bodybuilding book for me as well as my lifting belt in his limo.

Yes I was very happy that day to meet my idol. I was a little taller then he, but he was still lookin good at his age. He took his sport jacket off, folded it neatly, draped it over his left forearm and then hit the single arm bi pose......sweeeeet! The crowd went ballistic. Then pulled up his sleeve on his golf shirt and opened the door on his limo flexing his bi! the crowd went nuts. "again"

I've exchanged emails with Yonnie Shambourger and Jay Cutler a few times. Both guys are really nice. I also emailed Will Brink (although he's not a pro) and he was kind of a dick.
