Been to my endo for the first time, need your insight

So I have been to endo.

The best endo in my country.

I have low test all my life, around 280.

I have told her all my symptoms
(extremely fat waist,sub-standard Libido,joint,ligament,tendon problems,self-confindence,depression,anxiety).

She said that my test is terribly low for my age(29),that testosterone is the most important hormone for men,for their psyche, bone health, fertility and cardiac health and much more.
She`s a firm believer in test, she stated that many times in her interviews(calls it "hormone of the kings and the king hormone".

I told her I have never used steroids(I didn`t)

She said she will do everything to put my test to the levels where they should be.

She did and ultrasound of
my internal organs(fine)
my pecs(no gyno)
my balls(all is fine with balls)

I will have to go to the lab and do:
LH,FSH,TSH,Free test,3HCG(I think?),Prolactin,
AST,ALT,Kreatinin,glucose,cholesterol,
and a 0,30,60,90,120 min glucose test
+spermogram.

And then report back to her.

In 3 weeks.

I asked her will I get some hormones to take and which ones,
and she said that she will know only when those tests are done.

My question is:
what do you guys think,
what are the chances I will get TRT?

I`d rather not get anything other, like HCG,T3 or any other bull that is not gonna be worth it in the gym.

p.s.she has a poster for nebido on the wall.

How do you know she's the best in the country?

Anyway, pointless question. She'll do what she thinks would be best. Do that. She's the best, she should know.

Small country.

She`s reputed to be the best.

She is the chief of endocrinology at the best hospital.

She went to Harvard medicine or something like that.

Dunno.

I don`t really know how docs determine if to give testosterone or not.
For example,if the blood work shows low LH,do they give you HCG or TEST?

Or if spermogram shows normal sperm count,do they hesitate giving TEST?

It`s gonna be long 3 weeks before seeing her again so I`m bashing my head against wall.

lol

Oh who am I kidding.

Since my testicles look fine on the ultrasound,
I`ll probably will get HCG or some shit like that, not TEST.

Won`t be worth anything in the gym.

did you ever consider cleaning up your lifestyle and boosting your T?

you said it yourself you have anxiety and a big belly. test alone is not gonna fix that. but it could make it worse.

this lady is just trying to make money off of you/your insurance company. i find it interesting that a meathead with a peanut head can figure out that diet and exercise is the #1 thing to feeling good but a doctor from harvard or whatever can't.

in the end i hope you realize that even if you do go on HRT FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, DECADES. that its gonna come down to lifestyle choices you make whether you get this turned around.

Cleaning up my diet aint gonna cut it.

I`ve been depressed for 29 years.

I can`t train as hard as I used to because my connective tissues are giving out.

I`m lazy,tired and sluggish.

I don`t drink, smoke or do drugs,so my lifestyle is clean in that perspective.

And I absolutely do not want anymore to eat like the next person but have a fat boiler stomach to carry around always.

For anxiety,I`m on antidepressants half the year, been seeing psychiatrist for 6 years now.

I really don`t see why I should not correct my test.

No offense mr.Stevesmi but do you know what low test feels like?

I understand that the doc is trying to make money off me,I am sure you are right.

But how is having testosterone in the normal range going to make my anxiety and obesity worse?
I don`t get that.

TRT should be a last resort after expending all measures to improve your test levels naturally and making lifestyle changes. You would be surprised if you knew how much impact a lifestyle change can have.

As for how increased test to normal range can cause you to make things worse, I'm sure Steve is referring to estrogen. Increased test equals increased estrogen which leads to more fat gain. I have a guy I work with that is going through that now. He is in his late 50s, doesn't work out, and has always been overweight. About a year ago he got diagnosed with low T and went on TRT. since then he has gained a significant amount more weight (fat) with no changes to his diet or lifestyle.

Yes but I have a perfectly good lifestyle.

I`m ready to improve on my diet religiously but everything else is fine.

I`m dedicated to lifting for 8 years now and I do some cardio regularly.

No alcohol,no tobacco,no drugs.

I`m sure doc will now about the estrogen stuff if she prescribes test?
