Anyone ever drive a G-Wagon?

I've had the same car since I was 16 years old, I'm 23 in a couple of days, I have some money, I want a new car. I could never justify needing one because I like how my 1997 Jetta handles and everything but the battery died recently and the muffler went, and while those things were easily fixed, I think it's a sign. Not to mention now that I'm single again it would help to have a presentable ride.

I want something that not everybody has, ya know? Like I drive my friend's ford escape limited, its quite nice I like it a lot. But everyone has a ford escape! I was thinking a Mercedes G-500, is it worth a test drive?

Cars I like:
g-wagon
cayenne
range rover (but too many of them)
lx 470

Any help? Ideally ill spend less than 60, so if I pick one of the more expensive ones probably get one a year or two old.

Is it a new one ? Under warranty cause they're a bitch to repair. I'd rather get a Cayenne S or the new MB GL450. Btw where did you see a one year old G500 for 60k ? A 2002 or 2003 maybe but not a 2005.
