I agree.. and think ppl should only take it if they really have a need...meaning suffer from something one of these is presribed for.. ADD ADHD.. etc

like a big test the next day or something :)

Well If I don't feel myself having physical withdrawls then is it really worth mentioning? I mean you don't sit on the couch and think to yourself "man I need to get up, but I just don't have the energy without smoking a cigarette." The things that go through your head constantly are mental. After you eat, you really WANT a cigarette. You don't physically need a cigarette. You can't classify a painkiller addiction to a nicotine addiction. I've had freinds that have had to sit there and watch thier wives pack up and leave them because they can't even get up to do anything about it they're so fucked up on vicodin. The day that adderral or nicotine does this to somebody then I'll say they're physically addicting.

I just need to put cap on this. Of COURSE ITS ALL IN YOUR HEAD!!!!! Literally, it is all in your head--in your brain. Yes, as a biochemistry major I can equate nicotiene addiction to heroin addiciton. Nicotiene is actually more physically addictive than heroin; the withdrawl lasts about 6 times longer. As an individual, you cannot tell the difference between physical and psychologiacal addiction. To your brain, they appear to be the same thing, so it is not at all accurate to say that because you can get up and smoke you are not physically addicted.

Trust me on this one, you are going against a bulwark of medical literature that clearly shows that niccotine is both psychologically and physiologically addictive.

Well watson, I've know plenty of people who have had throat cancer removed and still kept smoking. They've almost been killed by it but they still can't stop. And if it were a mental addiction, they'd keep putting the ciggarette to the their lips like always right? But no, they put it to the hole in their neck from the tracheostomy, because that way the nicotine gets into their system faster. PHYSICAL addiction bro, as strong as any narcotic. Just b/c it's legal doesn't mean it's not very addictive, people have held up stores and committed robbery and murder just to get ciggarettes.

No watson, we're talking about physical addiction. It's an amphetamine bro, same class and schedule as meth. It's not as strong per mg no, but it's still quite addictive, both physically and mentally. It's not as bad as meth because meth users almost always snort, smoke, or inject it, making the high that much more intense. If you take adderall orally, the way it's designed, you don't get that quick release so the addiction potential goes down slightly. Of course, if you snort adderall, or take 60mg at once, you'll get nice and speedy high lol, just like meth. People don't tend to get as addicted to it b/c it's harder to get and so forth, but it's quite addictive overall.

Adderall is not physically addictive, and neither is methamphetamine, cocaine, or any other stimulant. An example of a physically addictive drug would be heroin. A drug that can cause death if removed from an addict too quickly is physically addictive. A drug that becomes required for the body to run (however poorly) is physically addictive. Get your facts straight. Stimulants are mentally addictive, highly so.

Daemian, quit being an idiot. Every medical book you can find, every legitimate study published, states that amphetamines ARE physically addictive. A substance that can cause death if withdrawn is NOT what classifies something as addictive.. just read the damn definition if you don't believe me. My father is a Dr., my whole family is medical and I'm going to be shortly, believe me you've got it wrong. If you develop a tolerance to the drug, and your body cannot function normally without it after cessation, it is addictive. So, since you have to take more and more adderall to function "normally", by your own definition, it's addictive physically, and you WILL go through physical and mental withdrawal when you stop it. My facts are straight bro, you need to hit the books more.

I'd probably be wrong going against the bookwork, I'll admit. I too know people that would kill if they couldn't smoke. I guess it's more of an individual thing, the way it effects you. I base my vision of physical addiction on my painkiller addiction a few years back, and I mean I couldn't do shit without them. I was worthless unless I was on that pill. That to me is a physical addiction. Everything else has been easy to quit, untill it comes to the juice. Extreme mental addiction for me.
