Blood pressure meds and cycling

How many of you guys are on prescribed BP meds?

My BP has been high for a while. I'm finally getting it under control with the use of an ace inhibitor/diuretic. Heres what I'm on LISINOPRIL/HYDROCHLOROTHIAZIDE - ORAL (Prinzide, Zestoretic) side effects, medical uses, and drug interactions.

All my blood work is perfect and I'm in great physical shape. I don't abuse drugs and all my cycles are conservative followed by proper pct and time off. I'm dealing with the hereditary cards I was dealt and I'll likely be on meds forever.

I have a cycle planned for sept but now I'm a little apprehensive. Do any of you guys cycle while medicated? Obviously I will continue to monitor my BP daily.

I'd like to see some opinions here. Thanks fellas.

Btw, I'm most concerned with the diuretic.

I could more than likely get my dr to change meds, but it works very well.

i have chronic bronchitis which requires me to run a round of anti-biotics 1-2 times per year.. during that time i cease all AAS use. i would say at the very least get your heart conditioned ahead of the cycle and cut way back on alcohol. it really does help.. everyone said all those bad things about tren so i was worried but i ran a mile a day leading up to the cycle and i did not have any issues on tren. bp was 125/68

also I've found that N2Guard has greatly helped keep my bp in check and also after my anti-biotics i always run NTBM pro-biotics to restore flora

for some reason my BP flucates off an on so i have to take BP meds 80% of the time, Fortunately they don't intefer with my cycle.

I do, same as you genetics. No, keep the water pill, it will benefit you when you cycle (combat bloat). I take the same one you are on 12.5 mgs ed. Just dont drink alcohol when taking the pills. Greater risk of dehydration. Second, your bp pills won't work when drinking alcohol. I'm in a middle of a cycle now. 700mgs test e, 500 deca, 75mgs winny ed, check my bp 3 times a week, it's all good. However, I do 60min cardio ed and diet is on spot, don't take in salt, so who really knows if the pills are really needed. I noticed they work the best coming off a cycle because my diet tends to get a little sloppy and then I dont do cardio especially in the winter. Anyway, just monitor your bp 3 times a week during your cycle. Don't take it ed, you will give yourself a nervous breakdown. All and all, you are good...

I've never had any issues with my blood pressure however keep a check on that SL! That's serious business brother!

Salt.

That's the one thing I'm trying to get a grip on. I don't really salt my food for the most part, but it's in everything. I'm a big fan of sauces and they're all loaded with it.

What to you use to season and enhance the flavors of your food? Mrs Dash?

How's your red meat consumption? It's a big part of my diet. I have at least one serving of lean ground meat daily. Ive considered changing from beef to fish but I love cows :D

Id appreciate any low sodium diet ideas and tricks you have. I know a lot of this is common sense, but old habits are hard to break and I hate bland food.

Garlic powder, onion powder, pepper. Mrs. Dash is alright. I eat read meat everyday (sirloin) doesn't seem to be a problem. Just cut your red meat intake in half, add chicken or fish. You dont have to totally eliminate red meat. Oh, I just read you eat one serving of meat everyday. That's fine... Fish is low in sodium, orange roughy, flounder, salmon. Roughy is real expensive but it taste great. I buy olive oil spray and use that to cook my food. Basically, that's it, stay away from fast food and dont sprinkle salt on our food you will be good. A couple of side notes, try to do cardio 4-5 days a week and keep hydrated because of the water pill. I would not eliminate the water pill because water retention is the main cause of HBP.. Water pills are great when on a cycle and dieting because it eliminates that nasty bloat look. The pros shoot up lasix when they diet, so being on a water pill isn't all that bad. You would have to be on the water pill for a long, long time for them to damage your kidneys.

I hope this helped.
