Lol, Yea... A block and a half and she's spent. Put another dog around her though and she'll play until she literally can't move anymore.
Ahhhhh. I love herrr! I love bulldogs. My next dog is definitely going to be one...but that's probably 10-11 years away because KFeedz is only 9 months too.
It was really difficult for me to go with a bully over a golden. They've always been my childhood companions growing up. Afeedz is adorable and everytime I see a pic reminds me of mine which passed at the ripe age of 15 about 7yrs ago. We had a close family friend that was a professional dog trainer and trained her for free. She could play the piano(sit on the bench and bang keys), get us stuff out of the fridge and bring us the phone when it rang. Such an awesome breed!
Wow. 15 is pretty damn good for a golden.
KFeedz is my fourth, and the first that's actually mine. She's awesome and learns quickly. She let's herself out by pressing her body against the glass door, sliding it open, then walking to the screen door, jumping up, and hitting the latch. And at my moms, if you tell her to play pool, shell jump up and nose balls into the holes. Lol. I love them, I'm just ready for something new. And I love the personalities and ugly cuteness of bulldogs.
10 is actually doing good and, also like English Bulls, they're extremely prone to genetic diseases.
Unfortunately, the vast, vast majority of American pedigreed Shepherds are fucked up too. Most of them don't make it past 10, either. The ones I know are immediate descendents of European breeding stock.I've always preferred shepherds...almost 14 years with Nitchske...
Take this only as I'm saying it, your dog doesn't fit breed standards, he looks too wolfy. Please do not misunderstand, that was NOT meant to insult your dog! I am merely pointing out a potential reason he lived so long might have been because he was outside the breed standard.
This is a classically "good" German Shepherd, you can see there are differences (bear in mind, I'm talking strict confirmation and color standards for breed type):
Frankly, mutts are generally your best bet for health and temperament. Most pedigreed dogs (and cats) are physical and/or psychological messes due to the degree of inbreeding. You can't keep mating grandfather to granddaughter then uncle to niece and not expect to get some whack chromosomes sooner or later (an uncomfortable percentage of pedigreed animals have some inbreeding in their background, even if the paperwork doesn't show it, trust me, that crap is far too easy to fudge).

Danes are awesome!!! I've owned three and they are great, now I only have one, he's 6 and survived bloat, great dog, much better than my others (pug and frenchy)
