Good breakdown. Personally, I think Zane looked like a bitch when compared to other bodybuilders. He had the physique most ladies like, but not the body that a bodybuilder is looking for (even in those times). I see some guys at my gym that are on par with Zane or close to him. His physique is much more attainable than most bodybuilders, but I think he looked puny next to the other guys. He wouldn't win a novice show today, as where Arnold may when a novice with his upper body.

You're fucking high bro! You don't think Zane could win a novice show? The dude had absolutely perfect symetry and good size for his frame - he just didn't have freak size. I guarantee if Zane from 20yrs ago walked into your gym people would notice in a big way and he would stand out. Hell, he would stand out in my gym and we have some total freaks in there. Plus it was a different time. People argue that Arnold was the greatest ever and I wouldn't disagree BUT put him in the O today looking the best he ever looked and he's dead last. Probably would struggle to even get his pro card. Zane had a better build than at least 99% of the guys on this board.

Zane was never 4% , lowest my guess would be 6, that was on the best day,. Same with arnold. And my arms are 17 inches, Zane was tiny.

C'mon bro, just because your arms are the same size as Zane doesn't put you in his catagory. My arms are about the same and there are guys in my gym that have arms alot bigger but it's the overall picture than matters, not circumference of any particular bodypart.

Zane was very small for the Olympia, even for the 70's. You have small arms.

Ding Ding Ding.....We have a winner......My arms are almost 18 and my legs are 29 inches.....I weigh 240 and If I were to cut up I could come in around 198-200 or so.....Does it mean I could beat Zane ?

The guy is just on a different level genetically than most....Many guys walk around with Huge arms and legs it does not mean they can go win the O.

thats not the point, Im 19, Iv been working out for alittle over a year, this was a full grown man in the sport for a long time and juiced. HE WAS NOT SPECIAL/ People give those guys too much credit.

I really have to laugh at the attitude I hear sometimes. I also think it's hilarious that people think it doesn't matter if you're natural, use a tiny bit of gear or 2 grams a week. That's like saying it doesn't matter if you ride a bike or a race car, all that matters is how much distance you cover. It matters.
