Xanax & Valium together. Please help, I am in distress.

Sorry about posting this in the anabolic board but I figured many of you know about meds.

I was diagnosed a year ago with social phobia, and was prescribed antidepressants anafranil and an ssRI called Luvox (Faverin). My problem is gone thank god.

BUT!!! I am a nervous wreck. I get angry for stupid reasons, shout in the streets, try to pick up fights. I'm out of control. I asked my doctor to prescribe me some sort of relaxation/depressant drug. He gave me some xanax to take 0.5mg in the morning & 0.5mg in the night. Unfortunately this low dosage is not strong enough for me so I decided to self medicate. When ever I feel stress I pop 1mg xanax and it seems to be working.

Anyway my father suffers from schizophrenia, and he has a very large supply of 10mg valiums (Diazepam). My question is can valium and xanax be taken together? and what is the difference between these two drugs (effect-wise) (half life, etc.)

I also read somewhere that a small amount of alcohol can potentiate the effects of these bezos. So to get an optimal feeling is it wise to drink a small glass of scotch after taking these tranquilizers. BTW I'm not a heavy drinker.

I am in need of help. I will appreciate any advice from those with medication knowledge as well as those who have experienced

I was thinking of buying some GBL, but the thought of drinking a fucking solvent turns me off.

Trust me, I am very nervous. My hands tremble, I shout like a lunatic. PLEASE HELP!

ask a dr about drug interactions-both xanax and valium are addictive so be careful

I have taken both at the same time but that was a little before bed.You will get super mellow and then sleep comes,without warning if you add booze.

you can take them together. They are both very similiar in their actions though. They are basically two breeds of the same drug. Just be prepared for a double-up effect. You will definitely not want to operate heavy machinery.

From my experience, Xanax and Diazapam work well together. Xanax will chill me out, but not really help me sleep. Diazapam will do both, but I sure as hell wouldn't take Diazapam during the day. About drinking, that will definitely potentiate the effects, and the very fact you used that word suggests you understand that. And about operating machinery (or driving), well, you won't if you're smart.

bro i some what of an expert on pill xanax an valium are the same thing . they both have the the same active ingrdent in them so they bo the same the but be careful they are both very addictive
