Not really. Belize is kind of a no-frills vacation destination. Unless you're staying at one of the resorts that cost $250 a night.

The people are really friendly and everything is WAY laid back. Lots of Rastafarians. Lots of Mayans. Lots of Americans and British living there a lot cheaper than they can in their own country.

People go to Belize mainly for the diving. The 2nd largest reef in the world in a couple miles off the Cayes.
