sharks are just fish with sharp teeth.

.. the problem is divers who feed them and they build up the courage to approach people.. those are the ones who get bit and then the sharks get blamed. and then you have surfers who surf in murky waters surrounded by baitfish running away from sharks who are trying to catch them and they get bit on the leg by mistake.

here is a vid in Volusia county, FL.. shark bite capital of the world.. you have 4-6 foot spinner sharks that are chasing baitfish and surfers in murky water. of course there will be accidental bites YouTube - ‪Spinner shark jumping‬‏

Good bro material. I agree that the feedings/chumming alter natural behavior. The last thing I want is to be in the water with a shark thinking about food lol. Same ocean same day, even the more aggressive species of shark are not gonna want anything to do with a diver.
