I didnt read the entire thread but when I was 31, I started dating a guy who was 19. (lol shut up). I think it all depends on the individual, not just their age. We dated for over 2 years and it was pretty good overall - with both of us knowing that we werent looking for anything like marriage/co-habitating/etc. it was pretty casual and relaxed, but still exclusive. anywho, eventually when the newness wears off, there will likely be issues that come up as a result of age difference

Pfffft. I asked my wife out because she was sick fucking beautiful. . .no other reason. I suppose, after almost 17 years together, looks aren't what keep us together but they were certainly the gravity that brought us together in the first place.

I know looks aren't everything, but you guys and gals have to admit that you have to be attracted to someone to want to really be with them. She has not been married, and she has one kid who is 18 that her parents raised. She is financially stable, etc., etc. If this was just casual, or a fling or something, then it wouldn't be a big deal. I think I'm realizing that I'm afraid of commitment, and that I'd be afraid to jump in even if the girl was my age. Shit! That's the real issue here.
