Will my luggage that i check with the airline be checked for Beer?

I'm going Carnival! San Juan, St Croix, St Thomas, and St Johns

Last cruise was from Charleston, SC to Nassau. It was awesome. And like you, it's the only way to travel for me also.. They just make everything so damn easy for you.

I went carnival on my last cruise. I like sailing with them because the crowd is younger and likes to get crazy. You should have seen the Mardi Gras party on the boat. OMG!

I know a few people from the last cruise who have brought beer in the luggage and not one of them said that any have popped open.


Rudedawg- a 30pack of Bud light is 17 bucks in NJ. And one beer on the cruise is 4.50. It's a pretty big savings.

That's substantial enough for me. Never been on a cruise......wife isn't real fond of boats for an extended period. I am sure you can, but I have to ask anyway, can you walk around on the boat with a can of beer? What about a cooler? Cuz if you were kicking it by the pool or something it would be a pain in the ass to run back to the room every time you needed one.

I would stick with mixed drinks anyway.

I just told them I had my own transportation to the docks, and bought licquor and stuff at the grocery, and put it in a backpack and got on the boat.

Its no biggie, I don't think you've got much to worry about.

Just a warning though, make sure you pack the booze VERY carefully. On the way home from Fiji my friend had a few bottles of local brew in his luggage to take home and give to some friends to sample. Unfortunately for him, he didn't protect them very well. End result - a suitcase soaked in cheap Fijian Bitter.

Yeah, he was taking them home for other people to try.

I was going to bring some beer and alcohol with me on the cruise to the Carribean that i am going on so i don't have to pay an arm and a leg for alcohol on the boat.

My question to you in if the airline will check and confiscate my alcohol.

I know i could get this on the plane before 9/11 but now i am skeptical.

What do you think? Have any of you done this?
