Why do you guys cheat by using steroids?

what about guys who compete at a weight class sport or one that weight gain isnt the main goal at a high level.... steroids offer so much more than weight gain they can be used for all sorts of different reasons. sprinters, fighters, track athletes, weight lifters.... theres guys who put up big numbers and weigh less than 180!

This has been debated for years. However, bottom line muscle is muscle. How you create it, is your problem. There is no such thing as cheating. With or without steroids, real muscle needs food, hardcore training and rest. How you develop that muscle, and even harder how you keep it, will be determined by your discipline, passion and dedication. Now if some people put in question the way or method used to reach that muscle, then we have to consider eating more as cheating. Because food is actually anabolic. So anybody who eats high amounts of calories to bulk up should be considered a cheater.
Amen.

i was just going to post somthing up like this...
i compete in powerlifting, in untested federations, maily USPA and USPF... i could care less how big i get, as my main focus is strength...
at my last meet, my total has me within about 20lbs of elite status at the 148 weight class, lifting raw... im lucky to gain 20lbs on my squat in one cycle... its a lot of hard work at this point, and a lot of eating as well, because i have a VERY physical job that burns a lot of calories...
im not trying to press the issues here, just letting you know that there are legit uses for smaller guys to run juice... with my small frame i could probably never get to 200lbs naturally as well...

exactly... your probably on a higher level of performance than most the big dudes who say you should be at least 200 to cycle... I do agree that people should workout for quite some time before they take that next step but i dont think a persons improvements can just be measured by weight.

I think anyone who uses steroids and his under 220lb +12% bf or is a joke and a big fuking pussy.. Guys who take juice are looking for a shortcut and cant take the hard way, its so easy to take roids and blow up to a massive size without much work, please dont say guys who are ON workout even harder than naturals, i've seen it happen with my own eyes, ex: last yr a buddy of mine took deca and test for 3 month without any hard work in the gym, his diet was CRAP and i mean CRAP because he was too busy selling drugs n shit he was coming to the gym 3-4 times a week and disappear came back disappear his bench went from 165 to 235 in 2 month, add 15lb of muscle and lost 5% BF without any freaking WORK.. If your not a pro bodybuilder or an elite powerlifter you should leave the roids alone, when you train natural you own the muscle and strength that you gained but if you use steroids its not you anymore you had help from roids how can you be proud of that???? Im 22 5'8 207lb 14%bf and never used any performance enhancing drugs except creatine.. Im not anti steroids at all im not saying they're dangerous or anything but its very disrespectful to those who bust their ass in the gym, eat very clean and train natural and there are guys who juice for 4 month and gain more than 2 years worth of work naturally..

PLEASE DONT TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY THIS IS JUST MY OPINION..

Lmao!!!! Do you think we just take a bottle of testosterone and magically grow,, people on steroids work twice as hard as people who train natural, don't be upset you can't lift like us or look like us because your opinion is the reason that all this stuff in the media is said about steroids and give them a bad reputation. Just because some guy you know did some gear and got some results that you can't achieve shouldn't give you the right to call us cheaters

Its only cheating if you are in a competative sport. One where everyone isn't taking anabolic drugs.

If you are a bodybuilder, or just trying to be less of a burden on the eyes of those who have to look at you, it's just rational good sense.

I always used to take the stairs at work. Then I thought "why did man invent electricity? Why do we have a big brain that consumes so many calories?"
Now I take the lift. Let electricity take the strain.

Self-denial is the self-indulgence of self-denying people. I've got a feeling that the guy who started this interesting thread is quite a hardcore, total-immersion, fundamentalist purist in many of his life-choices.

When he eventually trys the roids (he's hanging around the web boards), he'll go from a prohormone cycle to injecting tren into his eyeball within a year, flaming newbies for a perceived lack of hardcore-ness!

but then you have a unfair competitive advantage to those people who are still using the stairs because they havent discovered the elevator yet
you gutdamn cheater

the only time this is cheating is if you are competing in a pro sport in which steroids are illegal, then you're cheating. It's not illegal in bodybuilding. It's not illegal in strongman events as far as I know. It's not illegal in several strength sports and most baseball players, wrestlers, fighters use it...so technically, if you dont get on, you are cheating your chances at victory.

The whole reason behind it being illegal is so pharma companies and the government can make money anyways..thats the bottom line. has nothing to do with the adverse effects of juice on your body. no one has ever been proven to have died from steroids. in fact the main causes of death around the world are all from things that are fully legal, i.e. tobacco, alcohol, etc...
