This has been brought up a bunch of times before, but who do you think is at more risk in the long-term?

1) A serious alcoholic
-i.e. 10+ drinks per day or weekend binge drinker (like drinking a full bottle of 80 proof in a night)

OR

2) A steroid user taking potent 17AA anabolics 6-12 weeks out of the year
-i.e. 75-150mg Anadrol daily for 3-4 weeks at a time, 2-3 cycles per year

an alcoholic is by definition someone who needs to drink every day, in which case there is no time for the body to heal itself. Even though drol is very damaging, at least there is an off time so that the body can recover.

A better study would be to measure the effects on the liver of someone who drinks 10 drinks ed for 6 weeks straight and someone who take 150mgs/ed of drol for 6 weeks.

True, but chances are if you're drinking that much already, you will probably continue to do so the entire year because of the physical and psychological dependence on alcohol

Guess I should have specified that the study should done with subjects who do not normally drink or use steroids.

when I was 18 and doing my research before I started using AS, I used to go to the local library and read the PDR (Physician's Desk Reference). In an article describing Anadrol-50, there was a report of one fellow who developed a liver tumor the size of a small football. Apparently he was a racketball player who had taken 2-3 anadrol a day for four years straight without any breaks. He was about 210llbs., and in very good shape. He died from the tumor. This incident was reported in 1984 I believe. Its the only steroid-induced death that I ever heard of. Not sure if that story is still printed in the PDR these days.

Errr....I think if you take 3 drols daily for four years non-stop, dont be surprised if you have liver complications
