i think that there are alligator farms where they use the meat for food and skins for all kinds of stuff including taxidermy.

Make sure you have a ready. They aren't very friendly. My buddy actually had one for a pet until it got about 3' long then he couldn't control it anymore.

I kinda wanted to, but I'd like to get more practice in at the range. That, and I have absolutely no idea how to gut an animal, nor anywhere to put a 100-pound carcass. I should probably start out with small game or something first.

And there ain't no way in hell I'm going to sit in a damned tree stand for hours on end, so I doubt a novice stalker/still-hunter needs to worry about actually killing something the first several times out.

ya the stalking is a tricky game to get into,I mostly hunt from a ground blind but when that gets boring I have a buddy or two over and we take turns flushing and shooting as whatever comes runnin through the bush.
