So then would it be a misconception that effeminate men make up a larger percentage of the gay community? Or are they just more visible?

Hypermasculinity is the standard in the gay community? Must be a relative term. My trips to "the bars" suggest something much different. Granted, that's no way to judge an entire community. However, you can't very well say that it's only the exceptions to the rule that find their way out to the clubs every weekend.

Well, yes, I think it's a misconception.

I am saying "hypermasculinity" which is, by def, a kind of cartoon, is the idealization. I am HARDLY saying anyone much achieves it. That's why most of the straight people I know associate gays in a stereotypical way with musculature made extreme by roids or leather or faux military drag, not with dresses these days.

I had a 4Runner & used it for mountainbiking, but I'm sure other fags saw me, and said, "there she is trying to look butch." But, that wasn't the case at all.

Um, yeah, I drove my jeep offroad, um, this weekend onto, um, the patch of mud at the end of a dirt road that leads to my weekend place in Highlands.

It is rainy and foggy up here so I drove through several really icky mud puddles. I winced as the mud splashed the champagne exterior of my CHEROKEE. Oh, and I caught a chicken pecking at one of my tires, too.

I've been to highlands a couple of times....very nice...went once w/ a guy I was seeing.
